No voltage is being sent from the ECU to the MAP Sensor in the Range Rover Sport SDV6.

Greetings, everybody.

I own a Range Rover Sport SDV6 3.0L diesel vehicle, and we just fixed the engine due to a broken crankshaft. Upon starting the engine, it stalls and displays a limited performance notice on the dashboard along with smoke. The diagnostic report indicates a defective MAP sensor or a lack of MAP sensor detection. We inspected the plug and found no voltage reaching the map sensor plug. We next examined the ECU pins connected to the map sensor plug and confirmed the presence of ground and power, but no signal. We removed the ECU and submitted it for repair, but they reported that there are no problems with it.

Is it necessary to replace the ECU, or is there a component that is not visible causing the confusion?

If anybody has any ideas, I would appreciate the assistance.

Thank you in advance.

Examine the cabling between the ECU and MAP sensor if the sensor is not receiving electricity. The signal originates from the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, not the Engine Control Unit (ECU), indicating that the ECU is functioning properly. There may be a faulty connection, ground, or wire causing the issue.
