The radio displays a message indicating "Battery Low Start Engine."

Recommended Posts

During periods of low battery status, especially in winter, a reminder prompts you to start the engine and charge the battery. You may have a defective battery. They may register reduced voltage levels during extended periods of stop-and-go operation or brief trips. Uncertain about the time presentation. I will inspect it the next time I am driving.

Two further items are, The automobile had been stationary for 2 months before displaying the notice on the radio and other mentioned defects.
When the radio was turned off while the engine was running, it displayed the time in large figures. Additionally, if the radio was on, it turned off when the engine was switched off.
The automobile is a 2013 MK3 model and lacks a stop/start feature.
The battery is fully charged and is fresh. Half a year ago

The start/stop button is located on the right side of the dashboard below the steering wheel and is marked with the letter A. The 2-month period of inactivity may have resulted in a depleted battery, maybe due to a faulty cell. Having 5 functioning cells at 2.3 volts each would yield a total of 11.5 volts, without accounting for the voltage in the defective cell. Perform a load test to eliminate it as a potential cause. Defective grounds may lead to inaccurate measurements, as well as poorly connected or corroded battery connections.

It seems to me that your problems are likely due to a defective battery cell or faulty terminations. You should get the battery thoroughly checked, rather than simply using a voltmeter for a quick check. The display may indicate 12 volts, but this reading lacks significance without a suitable load. Consult a qualified vehicle electrician to examine it, since else it would be purely speculative.

I acknowledge that my message was not entirely correct, but I aimed to make my response concise and focused. I will remember this for future answers. The assistance provided did not lead to a solution for the original poster. Any suggestions made here are speculative, and it is recommended that the individual seeks out a skilled auto electrician to accurately identify the issue.
