Mazda CX60 parked and locked, strange sounds heard.
HOV replied to vitessear3's topic in General Car Chat
I had a similar noise in my PHEV. I am curious whether it may be related to the automatic oil measurement system. -
An authorised Mercedes dealer installed a new battery 24 hours ago. I wanted to verify the voltage since the Mercedes Me system said it was only partially charged. The voltage reads as 12.45 volts. Is this typical? I have only driven 6 miles home after being installed. My battery checker indicates that my alternator is charging properly, but it has not had the opportunity to do so yet. I want to charge it using my Ctek mxs 5.0. I am concerned whether it should have been kept at a greater voltage when it was installed by the dealer. Seeking feedback.

The charger for my iPod 10 is not functioning properly.
HOV replied to WhisperingWillow's topic in General Car Chat
Purchased a 59 RRS and ordered an iPod connector. However, it is displaying a device error when attempting to connect to the iPod. Anyone who has had this issue would much appreciate any advise. Thank you. -
The Mazda CX90 and CX70 models do not use a conventional torque converter. It seems that the decision was made to include the wet dual clutch gearbox (DCT) instead. The aforementioned issue is of significant importance to me, thereby leading me to discontinue my consideration of the CX70. Regrettably, due to the considerable distance of 1.5 hours to the closest dealership, I am unable to make the decision to proceed with the purchase of a vehicle equipped with these gearboxes, given my informed understanding of their reliability concerns. I was inclined to take a risk with a newly introduced first-year six-cylinder engine, but I was really hesitant to do so with a wet multi-clutch gearbox. I will now have the opportunity to explore the offerings of many manufacturers and subsequently make informed decisions during the next two to three months.

No Mazda 6 is available. I am perplexed by Mazda's decision to use a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Torque converting transmissions are somewhat less intricate and provide a smoother operation in comparison to their more sophisticated counterparts. It is acknowledged that although these vehicles may possess a little higher level of efficiency and the ability to swiftly transition between gears, it is important to note that they do not fall within the category of sports cars. There is a cost associated with it. Dual clutch transmissions (DCTs) exhibit erratic behaviour in congested traffic, proving to be very problematic in situations characterised by slow-moving vehicles. Furthermore, their performance significantly deteriorates in scenarios involving heavy traffic congestion, rendering them particularly unsuitable for use. Additionally, DCTs demonstrate subpar performance in slippery circumstances, such as snowy environments. In addition, it should be noted that the clutches experience wear and tear, while the transmissions need more regular maintenance. This Mazda gearbox is a recently created model that is susceptible to issues often seen in other cars equipped with dual-clutch transmissions (DCTs), making it imperative to exercise caution and refrain from its use whenever possible. The perceived inconvenience associated with this particular car, which I would classify as suitable for family use, makes it an unwise choice. I am inclined to consider opting for a recently developed engine since I have confidence in Mazda's expertise in this area. However, I am uncertain about the suitability of a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) for my needs. The individual exhibits a lack of willingness to undertake such a substantial level of danger. I am eagerly anticipating the release of the official specifications pertaining to the Mazda automobiles. The disclosure of pertinent information by the concerned party has been characterised by a notably sluggish pace, notwithstanding the prolonged period during which the automotive industry has been enthusiastically discussing these automobiles.

The CX60 is equipped with a 4-cylinder layout and is paired with an 8-speed torque converter gearbox. The vehicle is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that operates on either gasoline or diesel fuel. This engine is paired with an advanced 8-speed gearbox, namely a non-torque converting multi-clutch gearbox, sometimes known as a dual-clutch gearbox (DCT). This indicates that the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) is intended for deployment in the North American and United States markets, specifically for the CX-70 and CX-90 models. Please engage in independent reading.

The source of this information is unknown, but it pertains to the CX-70/CX-90 platform and its notable features, such as the inclusion of new longitudinal 6-cylinder engines. However, it has been reported that these engines will not be paired with a normal torque converting automatic gearbox. It is probable that the gearbox system will consist of an 8-speed wet twin or multi clutch configuration. If such is the case, this particular matter will be a decisive factor that will lead me to terminate the agreement. One may express much admiration for the advantages of rapid gear changing, highly efficient dual-clutch transmissions (DCTs), and their implementation in sports vehicles. However, it is arguable that for the average driver, this particular technology may not be optimally suited. One may consider transitioning to the Hyundai forum in order to peruse accounts of negative experiences pertaining to the new Santa Fe model, specifically in relation to its utilisation of the twin clutch configuration. This examination aims to shed light on the concerning frequency at which these gearboxes are encountering failures. Due to the absence of a Mazda dealership in our vicinity, my intention was to get the CX-70 model from a dealership located 75 miles away. I am unable to take the chance of encountering issues and doing extensive travel for recalls and repairs. Consequently, I will need to explore other purchasing options in 2024. Unfortunately, I had believed that the CX-70 would be an ideal choice for our needs.

To be candid, there is a limited number of Halfords employees that possess extensive knowledge of intricacies pertaining to automobiles of a more complex kind. Numerous individuals exhibit enthusiasm, although beyond engaging in straightforward and apparent duties, their engagement in more demanding endeavours seems to be lacking. Although there may be conflicting viewpoints, the aforementioned observations have been consistently seen and documented over a period of time.

The use of Adaptive LEDs on the 2013+ F01 model is visually impressive, prompting a desire to retrofit this feature in my own vehicle. However, it has been reported that the task requires a significant amount of effort. Interestingly, there exists a YouTube personality who claims to have accomplished this feat. However, it is worth noting that this individual does not provide substantial information about the process.I have recently altered the colour of my possession to a shade of blue, as an expression of amusement. Additionally, I have upgraded my infotainment screen to a 12.3-inch display and have also made enhancements to my iDrive control system.

Range estimation for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles
HOV replied to HOV's topic in General Car Chat
What was the subsequent level reached after the replenishment? According to the calculations, the product of 8 multiplied by 42 yields a distance of 336 kilometers. Adding this value to the initial distance of 70 kilometers results in a total distance of 406 kilometers. This particular distance was consistently achieved by my previous CX5 vehicle. The computation was based on the average consumption over the previous 10 kilometers, and in some cases, the range might increase while transitioning from high speed to a slower pace. Please review my first message to see the nonsensical content I am encountering. In which scenario is it possible to cover a distance of 90 miles on a freeway while seeing a mere 10-mile reduction in the estimated range? -

Currently, I am achieving a fuel efficiency of 51 miles per gallon (mpg) in terms of energy equivalence. The electricity tariff is expected to increase double in August, resulting in a decrease of around 45 units. -
Range estimation for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles

During my employment at a certain organization, adherence to a level of perfection was the only criterion deemed acceptable. As a duly certified engineer, I have internalized the inclination for objects and systems to function optimally, or to ascertain the underlying causes for their malfunction. I place my reliance on and use the fuel gauge while disregarding the range indicator, as well as the miles per gallon or miles per kilowatt-hour measurements. Coincidentally, I am able to go a distance of 74 miles on a solitary electrical charge today. -
Is there a solution available for resolving the issue with the chocolate coffee pot range predictor? I have retrieved my vehicle from the dealership after the completion of necessary repairs and a recall service. The adjacent space has been occupied. The battery was charged overnight. The projected range is estimated to be 360 miles, which surpasses previous records. The individual traveled a distance of 200 miles, with 170 miles covered by an internal combustion engine (ICE). The forecast of the range is 190. I am of the opinion that this particular endeavor is now yielding positive results, which is a departure from the norm. Explored the city of Bournemouth using the Integrated Transport System and engaged in some urban regeneration activities. Decrease to a value of 120. Since the last complete recharge and refueling, a total distance of 290 miles has been covered. The recorded range is shown as 190. Upon returning, I had traveled a distance over 90 miles before the range of the vehicle decreased to 180 miles. Upon arrival at my residence, I had traveled a distance of 200 miles, at which point the remaining fuel level had decreased to 70 units. The recorded fuel consumption for the outbound journey was 41 miles per gallon, whereas on the return journey it was 39 miles per gallon, which may be attributed to the adverse traffic conditions encountered in the vicinity of Birmingham. Coincidentally, the accuracy of my tank gauge seems to be rather reliable, and I have not had any difficulties with refilling.

The model under consideration does not include a stalk; instead, it incorporates a switch. However, despite this modification, the outcome remains unchanged. I encourage you to test this hypothesis.
-
The concept of infotainment is considered to be at the core or center of attention. The subject under discussion pertains to the Instrument Cluster, namely the Speedometer. Within this context, there exists a stalk that serves the purpose of resetting Trip A and Trip B. This stalk may be rotated to achieve the desired outcome.
-
The user often references the Infotainment settings. The term "Reaper" pertains to the Instrument Cluster Stalk, a component of a vehicle's control system. To activate the automatic setting, the user should rotate the stalk counterclockwise. It is recommended to do this action at nighttime or to obstruct the windshield sensor. In order to recall the procedure for engaging the double tap engine START/STOP button without applying pressure to the brake, rotate the stalk until it reaches a dimmer setting. Subsequently, verify the functionality of this process by toggling the lights from the Auto mode to the OFF position many times. To ensure optimal functionality, it is recommended to set the lights to the automatic mode and press the Start/Stop button once. Subsequently, it is advised to patiently wait until all systems have been deactivated, indicating that the desired configuration has been achieved. In subsequent instances, the illumination of the environment will increase during the daytime and diminish during the nighttime.

Our residential property is equipped with an overhead door garage door, and we encountered difficulties while attempting to operate it using a portable transmitter. The learn button on the opener was exclusively used, followed by a 2-3 second press of the homelink button. Subsequently, the homelink button was pressed three further times, resulting in a successful programming outcome.

It is advised to refrain from using the numerical values of 5 or 5.1. It is advisable to choose between DOT3 or DOT4.

Seeking Individual to Fill Position of Telephone Holder
HOV replied to BENZE220AMG's topic in General Car Chat
Although it may seem belated to provide this suggestion, I strongly recommend opting for the £400 installation of the MB. The vehicle enables the user to exercise control over many functions via the manipulation of the steering wheel. Additionally, the user has the option to respond to incoming calls using the loud speaker system. In the event that the user deems the conversation to be of a personal nature, they may elevate the armrest and retrieve the phone cradle, therefore facilitating a private conversation. The engine may be deactivated, while the phone and steering wheel remain operational until the termination of the ongoing call. Retrofitting is a feasible option, but requiring more effort. As an example, the expense of retrofitting it to my machine learning (ML) model would amount to around £300 and require half a day's worth of effort. -
Your assertion is very accurate. I appreciate your response, which criticized me for providing a straightforward and cost-free exam that required just a little time commitment. I trust that they will adhere to your suggestion to seek the services of an other automotive technician. In order to accommodate your satisfaction, I thus declare my intention to refrain from further participation on this forum.

I am referring to the current discussion topic. The switches located on the pedals have the potential to impact several functionalities, such as cruise control activation, vehicle startup, and other related operations. In some automotive systems, when the brake pedal is engaged, it disengages the cruise control function, and in certain vehicle models, it also deactivates the throttle.
-
It is recommended to examine the switches located on the clutch and brake pedals. Do the brake lights activate upon depression of the pedal? Furthermore, it is essential that the device does not activate or display any visual cues while not being actively engaged by the user. Is it possible to start the ignition of an automobile without using the clutch pedal? Attempt to do the task without engaging the gear mechanism.
