johnnyb44
hi I have an 08 audi a5 3.0 tdi quattro and I'm having serious issues at the moment ... car is stage 1 narco tuned egr delete dpf delete .. car had a 2nd hand turbo on 101 k miles I bought it and was fine then car went limp mode no engine light so i turned it off and restarted it it was fine came next day white smpke woildnt start just cut straight out so sent car to autotecnic and the found egr wasnt blanked so that solved the atarting issue and foind actuator had seized so I had a new turbo and actuator fitted at autotecknic in west mids but found car wouldn't boost with engine temp sensor plugged and and to go back to the mappers and see if the map was playing up or my ecu might be on way out ...drove around it's been fine so thought didn't need to see mapper so done over 900 miles not even 3 months into new turbo and now car won't go over 3000 revs it really stuggles no boost what so ever and when u first start it u hear the turbo then the actuator shuts off and exhaust note changes and no boost phone Autotecnik instructed me to see the mappers. I have spoken with the mappers and provided them with a detailed explanation. They informed me that they have never seen a situation where the ETS (Electronic Toll System) prevents boosting. Their role is limited to verifying whether the maps are corrupted or if there is a hardware problem. I am not receiving any error messages and the mapper has suggested that the issue may be related to the turbocharger.I am hoping to get a booking at Mappers this week. However, there seems to be a dispute between the two parties involved, with one blaming the other. I would appreciate any information about the situation. My primary concern is obtaining a dependable vehicle.
KWILB
Welcome aboard, mate! However, it is improbable that you will discover a straightforward resolution considering the fact that your automobile deviates much from the norm. I recommend doing a comprehensive scan of your vehicle utilising VCDS Ross Tech in order to establish a reference point and starting position. I would also eliminate all of the adjustments and revert to the regular settings, then begin over. Wishing you the best of success and do update us with any new information, please! johnnyb44
My friend has VCDs, but they are unable to detect any issues, such as codes or malfunctions, related to the turbo or actuator. However, when the actuator is tested, it moves without any restrictions. I have personally acquired an obdeleven device, however it does not display any error codes. rab60bit88
When faced with circumstances like yours, it is sometimes essential to first restore the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to its original equipment (OE) image and then proceed with diagnosing the issue. johnnyb44
The appointment for the mappers has been scheduled to check for any file corruption. I will find out their assessment, but I won't be able to see the results until september 13th. Edited August 19 by johnnyb44
KWILB
it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to identify the underlying source of the issue with the presence of a song. Therefore, the first step is often to eliminate the tune and essentially begin over. Best wishes!
