honeycut_mazda5
I am the owner of a 2017 Mazda6 GT and an enthusiast of the vehicle. Seeking to acquire a larger vehicle, I observed a dealer's car available for sale with only 6 kilometres on the odometer. The 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV Premium AWD, the highest variant, was manufactured in November 2023. The cost is USD 38,000. I am aware that individuals have encountered issues with this vehicle. Are these issues significant enough to overlook the $15,000 price difference that I will incur for any alternative three-row seating vehicle? What protections do I possess about a certified dealer used car if it becomes inoperable, as others have indicated? I intend to operate solely in hybrid or petrol mode. Any insights would be valued. Starcar2022
When solely utilising gasoline, the inline six is a superior hybrid option. Enhanced reliability, improved smoothness, and superior fuel efficiency when utilising petrol exclusively. Should you opt for consistent charging, the PHEV merits consideration. I also observe that PHEV performance is superior when the battery is not exhausted. It is my belief that Mazda has largely addressed the bricking issues through their software updates. My sole concern at present is the potential failure of the 12v battery, a common problem among numerous electric vehicles.
KOOLCAR
The plug-in hybrid electric vehicles seem to exhibit significantly greater reliability. The majority of battery faults observed are to the turbo variants.
honeycut_mazda5
Thank you for your response. Based on your statement, I should not be concerned about the bricking issue if I purchase the Mazda PHEV manufactured on November 23. The price of the car is excellent. DreamCatcher88
I believe that Mazda addresses any issues that may cause consumers to become stranded or experience power loss while driving with utmost seriousness. I possess a January 2024 PHEV and no longer concern myself with the risk of bricking; I have not had any low battery or hybrid malfunction problems. While future concerns may arise, I believe the most severe bricking problems are now behind us. Nonetheless, the powertrain remains quite abrupt, and the gearbox tends to "crunch" when initiating movement from a stationary position.
