Replacement of desiccant dryer receiver

Recommended Posts

Greetings to everyone
I need to repair the desiccant receiver dryer located to the left of the condenser.
I am inquiring if anybody is aware of any tutorials or repair videos on this issue.

The task should be simple; nonetheless, I like to see a little video before to execution.
Best regards

The condenser is often available separately; however, it is often significantly rusted at this stage, so I suggest replacing the whole unit.

Its function is to absorb moisture inside the refrigerant circuit. This moisture interacts with lubrication oils and other components (such as the compressor), resulting in blockages and the formation of acids that degrade seals, among other issues.

Typically, they possess two or three fittings (for the pressure switch) and are secured with a bracket. It is essential to install the new dryer promptly after detaching the fittings, since it will begin to collect moisture from the ambient upon removal.

If it only seems unclean, although your air conditioning functions well, do not intervene.

Following the replacement of the ring, I will also replace the dryer. I want information on the quantity of PAG oil necessary to replenish the system, since it has been leaking from the joint at the lower connection for some time. Everyone expresses a distinct opinion.
