Experiences of ownership with the S500/560e

I am curious if anyone is willing to share their ownership experiences with either the S500e or S560e.
I have previously possessed S classes (six w126s and one w220), and I owned an S500e in 2023, which was stolen after a month and proved to be defective; however, I am now eager to experience one again.

Experiencing a test drive instead of "possessing. I evaluated several S560e models last year, drawn by their enhanced battery capacity and range. Two private transactions in Central London. Departed feeling underwhelmed by the hybrid experience. Both were possessed by their initial proprietors, two medical doctors of small enterprises, residing in the central congestion area. Despite the intriguing nature of electric driving, neither of these proprietors had taken the initiative to charge their vehicles, relying solely on the hybrid mechanism to maintain battery power, and both appeared to lack knowledge or interest in the intricacies of charging configurations. Individuals in their sixties and seventies who simply appreciated a large automobile. It was intriguing that both individuals were selling to transition to Bentleys, while my previous encounters with S Class owners indicated that sellers usually divested to acquire the newest S Class model.

Remarkable automobiles featuring expansive displays and an overall sense of opulence, yet I departed with the impression that the technology surpasses the owners' enthusiasm for it. They merely desire an opulent automobile. I observed these vehicles on the assembly line at Sindelfingen, and they appeared remarkable at that time.

The fuel efficiency appeared to be comparable to that of a standard V8. Few proprietors, apart from those in the luxury transportation sector, are concerned with fuel efficiency.

The availability of used 560e vehicles appeared limited, suggesting that their sales in the UK were not substantial. Fewer than a few hundred in 2020, and appears to have been a lacklustre endeavour, likely due to the substantial tax benefits associated with operating a company like EQS EV.

I appreciate your enlightening response. I am currently 57 years old, approaching my sixties, yet regrettably, I do not hold the position of a managing director in any organization. There are limited options available for purchase, and their value has not diminished sufficiently for me at this time; however, I remain intrigued. I owned a Passat GTE PHEV, which significantly reduced my expenses on fuel and maintenance due to the convenience of charging it from a standard 3-pin socket on my driveway.
I must acknowledge that your compilation of 500s in your MB existence is rather remarkable.

There are numerous valid justifications for proceeding from your perspective. Your reasoning regarding being the second owner mirrors the thoughts I had at that moment. Conveniently recharged overnight at home using a three-pin plug. These individuals were of the Kensington and Chelsea ilk, merely utilising the hybrid BIK without concern for fuel or upkeep.

My observation regarding the initial proprietors pertains solely to the tax ramifications and expenses for individuals depreciating it via the corporation, alongside the remarkably low Benefit-in-Kind rates for electric vehicles currently, in contrast to 2020 when 560Le models were sold as new.

Remarkable automobiles: they exude an air of luxury, distinctly avoiding the appearance of a flattened black potato, as seen in the EQS.
