CelestialSeeker
I have lately acquired a salvaged Mini. The property suffered from flood-related destruction. I have been attempting to rectify the audio issue, but unfortunately, I have not been successful. The back speakers function well, however the front speakers are completely non-functional. There is complete absence of sound. I have attempted to manipulate the settings of the Head Unit, but to no avail. I even attempted to substitute the speakers with new ones, but the issue persists. I attempted to measure the voltage in the speaker wire, but, I found that the cable was registering a value of zero. Is this a problem with the Head Unit? Assistance is requested. diablos_carcv5
The issue might be either with the head unit itself or with the cabling connecting the device to the speakers, since they are directly connected. Is there a distinct amplifier in your unit? Each example has distinct circuits.
CelestialSeeker
Initially, the rear speakers were non-functional due to the absence of an amplifier on the left side of the trunk. However, after obtaining a new amplifier, the speakers began to function properly. Since the speakers are directly connected, it is possible that the problem lies with the head unit. I will attempt to resolve the issue by changing the head unit and assessing whether it resolves the problem. Thank you for your assistance. diablos_carcv5
Apologies, I made an error by referring to the incorrect diagram due to my oversight. The speakers are connected to the amplifier via wires. The diagram has been added. I recommend verifying the output at the amplifier for the front speakers and proceeding with troubleshooting from that point. CelestialSeeker
After examining the voltage, I discovered that the problem is with my amplifier. It seems that I have the incorrect one. Therefore, I believe that replacing it with the appropriate amplifier should resolve the issue. Thank you for your assistance.

CelestialSeeker
I am quite perplexed. After connecting the new amplifier, I noticed that only the rear tweeters are functioning, when before only the rear woofers were operating. Could this issue be caused by the radio transmitting a faulty signal to the amplifier? However, it seems illogical that just the rear tweeters would begin functioning while the rear woofers, which were recently operational, suddenly stopped operating. diablos_carcv5
Is the new amplifier fresh new or used? While the possibility exists that this may be the problem, it is important to note that the fact that something is new does not guarantee its functionality, by the way. CelestialSeeker
I purchased it as a used item on eBay, and the vendor assured me that it was in working condition.
diablos_carcv5
That is an unusual situation, but if I understand your article right, it confirms that the electrical connections to the individual speakers are intact. I suspect that the issue is with either the recently acquired amplifier or the head unit. I suspect that the amplifier is the issue, given that the second pair of speakers works well. Could you delicately insert a probe into the pin connections and check for a voltage reading using your digital volt-ohm metre (DVOM)? It would be advisable to test both amplifiers to see whether the issue transfers when using separate amplifiers.
