  2. I intend to replace the original tailpipe trims with more aesthetically pleasing options, potentially featuring M emblems. My vehicle has twin tips, but they are not the 340i variants on either side, if that clarifies my intent.
  3. I believe he refers to converting the exhaust from a single pipe with dual tips to dual pipes, one at each end of the vehicle, rather than merely replacing the tailpipes.
  4. If you seek advice, visit AliExpress; I have procured two sets from there, one for my F31 330d and another for my M4.Additionally, my 640d, in fact.
  5. I possess an F10 525d with a conventional exhaust and wish to modify it to the 535d type, including one exhaust tip on each end. There is an exhaust facility in the Wolverhampton/Walsall area that can either cut or replace the rear diffuser. I was quoted approximately Β£450, as I recall.
  6. Hi has anyone changed the dual tips on an f30 with both tips on the N/S of the vehicle as apposed to the dual 340i tips? Where did you get them? My exhaust is 55mm without the tips? Many thanks
  7. Years ago, I discovered a method on this site for changing the rear brakes, which always results in the parking brake being set to approximately three clicks. It was excessively elevated. The rear wheels do not engage the parking brake whatsoever. Continuously modify the star wheel adjuster within the drum till the rear wheel, with the shoes only in contact with the drum, rotates around 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 revolutions before coming to a halt. At this juncture, the parking brake typically requires approximately three clicks for optimal functionality, and I have never needed to modify it, provided the rear brake shoes are well maintained. Theoretically, I could neglect the parking brake setting, but I have never encountered a problem. Three clicks are acceptable; however, if six to nine clicks are effective, that is also satisfactory to me. I consistently utilise the parking brake.
  8. I assume it is acceptable for the car to halt on an incline with 9 clicks? Perhaps I can further modify my position to avoid reaching the top limit.
  9. I secured the star adjuster until the rotor was immobilised and then loosened it slightly. Attach the wheel and engage the handbrake to the fourth click, then manually rotate the wheel. I modified it till the fourth click secured the wheel, rendering it immovable by hand. This caused the brake shoes to excessively contact the rotors, inhibiting rotation by more than 25% of a full turn. It felt inappropriate, so I adjusted it more. The wheel operates more efficiently with a degree of resistance. However, the brake will not secure the wheel until the seventh click.
  10. Did you also modify the cable at the lever end, beneath the centre console?
  11. Adjusting the drum brake star adjuster wheel to the specified parameters should result in the handbrake achieving 2-3 clicks. My adjuster does not function as it is supposed to.
  12. I am curious about the necessary adjustments for the brake shoes. I can manually rotate the wheel till the seventh click on the handbrake. It will be secured at that juncture. However, it will not secure the vehicle on a steep incline. Nine clicks would be necessary on a hill. Must I make additional adjustments? I positioned it somewhat closer, but this caused the wheel to rotate less readily by hand. The wheel would almost instantaneously cease rotation when being turned.

  14. I enter the vehicle, close the door, then engage the brake and hit the start button. While the system initialises, I disengage the steering lock and fasten my seatbelt; it is ready by that time.
  15. Thank you for your comprehensive response. It elucidates all the information I required had I perused the instruction.chuckle: Thank you all for your cooperation. Greatly appreciated.

  17. The Kia Owner's Manual has been significantly enhanced and is considerably clearer. The "Quick Start Guide" contains this information for starting the vehicle.

  20. The applicability is contingent upon the version of the manual in your possession. Upon initially operating my EV3 independently, it required 10 minutes for me to achieve movement. I had operated one a few times during test drives, but I do not believe I had initiated it from an off state. I consulted the Owner's Manual. I commenced reading from the beginning. There was an abundance of content unrelated to initiating the vehicle. I consulted the index, and "Starting the Vehicle" was located on page 190. I directed my attention to that. I have now discerned what I wished to see was: Enter the vehicle. 2. Shut the door. Fasten the seatbelt. 4. Depress the brake pedal with your foot. 5. Activate the Power button. 6. Pause for a few seconds 7. Shift the gear selector to the Drive position. 8. Propel. The wording was absurdly poor, containing extensive sections of Warnings, Cautions, and Notes, along with instructions for starting the automobile in the event of a blown fuse or a dead battery, prior to addressing the standard method of starting the vehicle.
  21. You are entirely accurate. As is customary, I neglected to peruse the user manual before to commencing operation. Thank you for your contribution.
  22. This is not an issue. This is the manner in which this car functions. The user manual explicitly states this information. Engage the BRAKE, observe the READY indicator, and shift to D. It is indeed that simple. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
  23. Thank you, everyone; it is really appreciated.
