  1. Past hour
  2. Continue producing those gastronomic creations. 👍
  3. I did not use stretch bolts on the W211; I reused the existing ones. Apologies, I cannot recall the torque as it is not included in the extensive thread I created.

  5. Understood. I have a brief inquiry. Last night, I was compiling all the torque specifications for reassembly (any comprehensive list would be greatly appreciated). It indicates that the oil cooler screws should be set to 12 Nm, which seems appropriate; however, some sources state that they are stretch bolts and must be replaced, while others do not mention this requirement. Is anyone aware? I will likely replace them nonetheless; but, they do not appear to be TTY (stretch) bolts. Salutations.
  6. Excellent effort, best of luck; undoubtedly more courageous than I.
  7. Valiant individual! I will remain in the kitchen - suitability varies by context!
  8. The glow plugs are functioning adequately and are easily accessible in the event of failure; therefore, I will defer any action regarding them for the time being. 👍
  9. No sealant on the purple seals, my friend. Should the glow plugs be replaced when everything is disassembled? Well done!
  10. I intended to convey that the purple seals had a sealant applied. To my knowledge, none is required. Am I mistaken, or was the previous owner only exercising excessive caution?
  11. This occurred approximately three and a half hours later...gulp!
  12. My aim is to decarbonise the cylinder head, replace the malfunctioning swirl motor, substitute the oil cooler seals (despite the presence of purple seals, it is prudent to address them), replace the leaking AC condenser and clean the DPF. I am not providing a comprehensive photographic tutorial; if you lack the requisite skills, consider hiring a professional. However, if you wish to do it and possess the necessary competence, numerous resources are available on this forum and YouTube. I am undertaking this to identify any potential difficulties and address any enquiries that may arise, if possible....and might pose some enquiries of my own. This was intended to commence in the new year; but, the weather has been excessively chilly, prompting me to begin today. The forecast predicted dry conditions; it was inaccurate!Despite having the entire day, I only accomplished approximately four hours of work amidst the intermittent showers. I spent half an hour attempting to remove the DPF, which I have yet to accomplish. I will initiate a separate topic with this issue. This occurred around 9 o'clock this morning.Only the cover has been removed.
  13. Thank you for your responses. It is the whole hybrid three. I utilised chatGPT, and it indeed resembles the typical sound emitted by the inverter. It seemed peculiar to me due to its intermittent nature. At times, it is inaudible during a drive; at other instances, it occurs sporadically, although it can also be constant, as demonstrated in the video.
  14. Which model of Sportage do you possess? It resembles the noise occasionally produced by an electric motor.
  15. I understand you stated it is not wind noise, yet it distinctly resembles the sound of a window that is not fully closed.
  16. I experience tinnitus, so if the sound is high-pitched, it may be obscuring it.
  17. I recently purchased a 2022 Sportage with 25,000 miles from a Kia dealer. I have seen a sporadic whistling sound. It is not wind noise; it typically occurs at moderate speeds, particularly while parking. This issue typically does not occur upon initial ignition but arises after driving for several minutes or, at times, a significantly longer duration. Does this appear to be typical? I am unfamiliar with hybrid systems. Link to the video is provided below. Whistling occurs throughout the majority of this video. It typically does not persist for this duration; it is generally more sporadic. I would very appreciate any feedback you may provide.
  18. It is surprising that you have not heard of them.
  19. DRW in Liverpool mostly specialises on M automobiles but has an excellent reputation for their cutting services; a quick Google search will confirm this.
