BENZE220AMG
Greetings to everybody, On September 14, 2024, while traversing the M25 freeway, the vehicle abruptly ceased operation without prior indication, exhibiting an error message on the dashboard that read “48V Battery Malfunction.” The abrupt loss of power on a congested freeway jeopardised my safety and that of other motorists considerably. Fortunately, I managed to pull over to the emergency lane, but it was an exceedingly stressful and dangerous circumstance that occurred four times on the same day. Initially, I attempted to reach Mercedes Assistance; but, despite many tries via the button in the vehicle, I was unable to connect or get any assistance, exacerbating the urgency and stress of the situation. After a little delay, I successfully restarted the car; however, it soon lost power again, necessitating another stop over. After around 15 minutes of waiting, I successfully restarted the vehicle and drove home safely. Nonetheless, considering the severity of the fault and the frequency of power loss, I am very apprehensive about the vehicle's dependability and safety in the future. I have reached out to support via email, anticipating a response with a solution, but I have yet to get any communication from them. I selected the Mercedes over the Range Rover due to my belief in its superior reliability. Undoubtedly, I was erroneous. Has anybody encountered a 48V battery malfunction, and what resolution did Mercedes provide? Additionally, would this problem be included by the warranty? xsports
I regret to learn about your difficulties. If you need or anticipate a prompt reply, it might be advisable to contact Mercedes Customer Services by phone instead of sending an email. Alternatively, contact your local dealer to schedule a diagnostic appointment or request recovery from your home or current location. The telephone number for breakdown and customer services may be located on the door shut of the driver's side. In the meanwhile, here it is for your convenience: 00800 17777777 If registered in December 2023, it will be protected by the manufacturer's guarantee, except in cases of accidental damage
ENVIOclev
I recommend proceeding to schedule the vehicle with the dealer instead than awaiting a response from Mercedes Benz customer support via email. If the vehicle malfunctions again, instead of using the SOS button, directly contact Mercedes Benz Mobilo roadside assistance at 00800 1777 7777. It is conducted in collaboration with RAC, which will provide prompt diagnosis at the roadside.
BENZE220AMG
This is a brief update about this matter. I contacted Mercedes support, and they said they will investigate the matter. I provided the requested information on September 17th. Since that time, however, I have had no communication whatsoever. The vehicle has been stationary in my driveway since the malfunction, leaving me without transportation, hence exacerbating my difficulties. Has anybody else had a similar situation? What was the duration of their response time to you? Any suggestions for expediting the process would be much appreciated! Thank you! torque2me
Contact your Mercedes Dealer, the closest Mercedes Service Centre, or Mercedes Benz Mobilo roadside assistance at 00800 1777 7777. Mercedes Support is clearly not the direction you should pursue.
BENZE220AMG
Thank you for your message. I am willing to visit the closest dealer, which is in close proximity to the vehicle's location. The support staff said they will examine the matter and respond to me. I presume they would not take the initiative to investigate it nonetheless. I will schedule an appointment first thing in the morning.
rab60bit88
Request breakdown help or continue driving until the notification reappears, then contact for breakdown assistance. This has been referenced several times in this discussion; nonetheless, here it is for your convenience: 00800 17777777
