HOV
Hello, I am uncertain about the terminology for this component and how to get a replacement. The vehicle is antiquated, therefore I anticipate challenges; nonetheless, knowing its name may facilitate my search for a tutorial.
HOV
It is partially damaged, however the technician said he has seen others in worse condition that continue to function. I would like not to wait for it to deteriorate in two years. Let us ascertain whether assistance may be offered by someone! Thank you! Ken_Lion
It seems to be a component of a gear selector unit. Additional information on the car, such as its model and year, is necessary for anybody to provide assistance. If the gear selector seen in your avatar pertains to the Vito, there are others available for purchase on eBay; nevertheless, the whole unit is required. Ken_Lion
My apologies. I should have read the headline and noted that you specified the car. I still believe it is the gear selector that will be sent as a whole set, rather than only the plastic component.
HOV
I looked on eBay, but just the automated gear selector is shown for some reason. I am considering a scrapyard where I may locate cheaper alternatives for this. I am uncertain if I need to purchase the whole bundle or only the white component. We will observe. Thank you. BENZE220AMG
One of the internet parts catalogues may be helpful. https://webautocats.com/epc/mercedes/

BENZE220AMG
This article pertains to the 638 series, as shown in the first link above. I am not quite familiar with your automobile. https://webautocats.com/epc/mercedes/3/638/
BENZE220AMG
I selected one of the Vito models; it may not be the same as the one you own. Select 'transmission' to access this page. Â https://webautocats.com/epc/mercedes/3/fg/638094/50n/26/
BENZE220AMG
Based on the illustration, I believe it corresponds to the item designated as 119, which, when scrolling down the list, is described as a 'shifting dog components kit' with the Mercedes-Benz part number A 000 260 01 35. Kindly note that this is only a Vito selected arbitrarily from the list; you must choose your own car to get the accurate component number for your own vehicle. An option to input your VIN number is available on the first screen, which will then route you accordingly. You may thereafter adhere to the procedures to locate the required component. Utilising the Mercedes-Benz part number, you may get the component from any authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership. Several individuals operate online stores on eBay, and you may reach out to them with the component number to get a pricing. I trust this information is beneficial. BENZE220AMG
Perhaps this page from the second catalogue I shared above is more beneficial? However, I am uncertain about the specific car you own. Every minute component is enumerated, thus should be accessible, and I believe that little plastic component should not be too expensive. By visiting a dealership and providing your VIN number along with the aforementioned photograph to the parts counter, the parts specialist should be able to identify the component and provide you with a pricing. The dealerships often provide lower prices for several components compared to certain other sources. https://mb-teilekatalog.info/view_SubGroupAction.php?lang=E&mode=BM&class=3&aggtyp=FG&catalog=50M &model=638164&group=26&subgrp=
HOV
I much appreciate your assistance! It seems evident to me that it pertains to portion 143. I apologise for not giving more detailed information regarding my model, but I am unsure how to do so. I believed it was only a single variant of the Vito W638 CDI112. Perhaps what you needed to ascertain is that it is a W638.9? I apologise; if you could direct me on how to proceed or specify the specific information you want and its location, I would provide it. If this fails, I can likely locate that component at a scrapyard, which, while not new, would certainly be in superior shape compared to mine. BENZE220AMG
I apologise for my lack of expertise on Vitos; but, I believe that presenting a picture of the desired part at a dealership, or preferably bringing your car, would enable the parts specialist to identify the component and provide a pricing estimate. If the component is shown separately on the schematic, they should be able to get it. I would not anticipate such a little plastic part would be exorbitantly priced, but do enquire about the cost beforehand. It may be prudent to purchase two, ensuring you own a spare should the new one malfunction at any time. Nonetheless, in the illustration, the piece labelled 143 has the part number A0002620032; this should enough for ordering.
pharmoun
The essential need for using a Mercedes-Benz primary dealer is to own your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). This might be located in several areas of your car. Examine the side of the door frame when opening the door.
