another_clean_sheet
I just acquired a 2024 CX-30 Premium. The movies I saw did not show that the black trim between the windows and above the rear glass is made of glossy black plastic, rather than the typical textured matte plastic. It seems to scratch quite easily. Does anybody have recommendations on how to clean and preserve it from minor scratches? May I just wax it? bentleygt77
When seen from the side, the piano black pillars become scratched easily. I just collected my CX30 TP from the detail/ceramic shop on Saturday. I had to paint and apply paint protection film on the B, C, and D pillars as part of my duties. The two pillars are located near your left ear, one adjacent to the back seat, and the other on the abrupt downward curve of the rear 'spoiler'. I did both sides. MidnightMarauder
I intend to refrain from touching them and replace them when I reach my limit.

stevenkeyte
Only apply film for protection. Avoid touching and periodically polish to maintain.
another_clean_sheet
I will investigate protective film. I will attempt to apply a tiny amount of paste wax to a specific area to see whether it can be done without causing any scratches.
stevenkeyte
Ceramic coatings are available for plastic materials. However, it will not last for an extended period. Because it is a frequently touched region. Nails will ruin the appearance anyhow. Instruct everyone to use the handle. It is advisable to cover the area beneath the handles with film.
