markjay
Hello, I have recently acquired a W204 C63. I am considering the installation of catless IPE headers. Will this modification yield approximately 550 bhp? What will be the auditory impression of this? Must I also eliminate the secondary catalytic converters to achieve 550 bhp? What will it sound like with the secondary cats eliminated? Will there be an excessive amount of drones?
DMGRS
By remapping to enable the throttle plates to fully open in E63 fashion, it should be nearly optimal.
HOV
Catless IPE headers will become excessively loud to the point of discomfort over time. An IPE would not be my preference. I would commence by detaching the resonator to enhance volume. A mere exhaust modification will not yield 550bhp. It will require an effective remap from a provider such as MSL Performance or GAD. alabbasi
Congratulations on your acquisition. What an automobile. MSL offers competitively priced sports catted long tube headers and remapping services; it is advisable to consult with them. If I had retained my 6.2, that is what I would have done (I miss that car 😅).
