First time buying from Carwin Transport should I be worried?

Evening folks,

Been browsing around for a decent second-hand car and spotted a Honda Civic on eBay listed by a company called Carwin Transport I’m based in Cardiff, so they’ve offered to have it shipped down to me within 7–10 days.

They told me it’s a repo vehicle, which on paper seems like a decent opportunity the price looks fair and the process sounds good enough. The thing is I’ve never gone down this route before so I don’t really know what to expect. Has anyone here actually dealt with Carwin Transport directly, or bought a car this way?

I’ve seen their adverts too, I’m always a bit nervous with cars that are “too cheap” with online purchases, my rule is if I can’t at least see the car before paying, I’d think twice.

Three weeks ago I decided to go ahead and bought a 2020 Audi Q3. I was a bit hesitant at first, but the whole process turned out smoother than I expected from the point of payment to the day it arrived at my door it was just over a week, which I thought was pretty reasonable considering it was coming from Belfast.

That’s interesting. Did you have to pay upfront before they sent the car out? That’s the bit that’s making me a bit nervous.

Yes, full balance had to clear into their segregated account first

I’d still be cautious, not because of Carwin Transport specifically, but because there are so many fake websites out there, at least this one is on Companies House and you can find a bit of history about them.

I’m looking at one of their Nissan Jukes right now. My only worry is what happens if something goes wrong after delivery. Anyone here actually tried using the 10 days return policy?

Hi everyone, just to reassure people about Carwin Transport as they are genuine. I bought a repo car from them this August and it arrived in excellent condition, no issues at all. Before I went ahead, I asked all the right questions and they were clear and straightforward. 
Their return policy is simple: if you don’t like the car for any reason, just call them and they’ll arrange collection within 48 hours. From my experience, you’re in safe hands

Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve spoken with Paul from their sales team a few times and he explained the refund and return policy clearly. He also sent me a video of the engine since there weren’t any engine photos in the listing.

I went ahead with the Civic. Arrived this afternoon and I’m honestly relieved,logbook was there, and the driver was polite. 
Already booked it in for a service tomorrow just to be safe. Thanks all for sharing your thoughts helped me make the call.
