johnmayerrr
Are they cataloged on realoem? I get a part number and then input it into a Google search, which often yields successful results.

nimbuye5
Your assistance is much appreciated; thank you. The component is priced at $21 on that website, although it appears as £65 at the point of purchase. Indeed!
johnmayerrr
Outdated information and pricing are present. Did you enter the part number into Google? What is the number that may assist in locating one for you?
nimbuye5
To conclude this discussion, it seems that the most economical option for purchasing these items is the BMW spares counter. £55 per unit. In all other instances I examined, the prices exceeded £70.
CelestialSeeker
The end plugs must be replaced, rendering them unsellable by dealers. The replacement cost amounted to around £450. The dealer will not proceed with the service without payment for diagnostics, thereafter charging £150-£200 to provide information you have disclosed, in addition to components, labor, and VAT. £50 for two sensors and £400 for diagnosis and installation. Effortless profit.
nimbuye5
I successfully installed the replacement switch independently; I severed the wires and used a heat-shrink solder connection, which functioned well. Total cost: £55, in addition to a Saturday morning.
