  2. Has the VIN been submitted to a Mercedes dealer or a supplier of specialised parts been considered? Either the star/baseplate assembly or a different part number may be listed for that little connecting bracket. It is highly recommended to have it replaced promptly due to the broken clips and the possibility of the part coming loose while driving.
  3. When I replaced mine, I noticed that the part had been replaced with a one-piece unit; perhaps yours has too.
  4. Does the order for the two parts include them under a single part number?
  5. Now that it's closed for Sunday, I'll have to ask tomorrow. Even after searching through my vehicle's parts diagrams, I have not been able to locate it.
  6. Today
  7. Did you consult a Mercedes-Benz dealership? It appears to be the most probable spot 👌
  8. Pardon me. A w205 facelift, that is. Using the part number only displays the baseplate and star. I have looked all over for the bracket that links the star to the distronic bracket, but I haven't found it anywhere. There is a circular bracket that the star base plate clips into, and that bracket slides into the mount that holds the distronic.
  9. Noting the make, model, year, etc. of the vehicle might be helpful. Has it been searched using the part number or has a Mercedes dealer been contacted?
  10. Hello, I am in dire need of assistance in locating a retailer selling the component inside the outer red ring. The star/baseplate and the distronic bracket are joined by this particular bracket. Nowhere can I locate it on the list. It will fall off while driving at some point because the clips are broken. Online, all I can find is the star itself and the distronic bracket, but not the bracket that connects them. You have my utmost gratitude.
  11. In the bright spring weather, the EV3's reflection—a line across the windscreen at driving eyeline height—was really bothersome. In contrast, the EV2's reflection—a hoop shape in the center of the windscreen, neither across the width nor in the driving eyeline—was completely unproblematic for me.
  12. Similar to my EV3, EV2s have the reflection. Another feature of the Harmon Kardon system is the large center speaker reflection. Similar to how the ambient light reflects in the EV3 GT Line S on the driver and passenger windows, I can simply block it out with my brain and ignore it. However, I am aware that many people find it objectionable.
  13. These days, it seems to be related to the angle of the windscreen, and treatments that make the dashboard shiny don't help. Just like you, a mat resolved the issue on my 2018 stonic, which was the first time it happened to me.
  14. Upon the expiration of my lease in a few months, I intend to upgrade from my present EV3 Air Long Range to an EV2 GT Line. Is the extremely obtrusive dashboard reflection in the windscreen something that happens on the road or is it simply the lighting in the showroom that makes it look bad? This is a major gripe that seems to have carried over from the '3' with a thorough inspection of the showroom. It was fixed in the "3" with a dashboard mat, but it really isn't. Although the EV3 was not difficult at all, it seems like entering and exiting the EV2 is slightly easier. These details become important as one gains experience 🤎.
  15. Last week
  16. It was something I should have mentioned earlier, but thanks anyhow. I've also attempted to exit the vehicle by turning off the engine and COMAND, but it yielded the same result.
  17. long shot, but don't use the wheel controls to lower the volume; instead, use the silver roller volume on the center console. It appears to be the master volume, at least to me. that you should give it a go.
  18. The 2014 S205. The volume never stays where I left it when I start the car; instead, it goes back to the factory default when the radio turns on. It isn't obscenely loud, but every time I want to adjust the volume, I have to press down on the wheel a few times. It seems like the radio should remember the last volume level that was used; I found this after going through an AI Q&A session and doing some research. I am unable to locate an option to establish a default volume level in the vehicle's settings. You have disabled automatic volume control. Did you hear anything, wise folks?
  19. The price wasn't the main concern, but the 16% hike from the previous one, which was around a year ago, was.
  20. What was your initial budget? I don't think ÂŁ28 is too steep for half a day of labour (including parts).

  22. Today, I received a tpms warning. The tyre company and the one that fixed it both seem to have cheated me out of ÂŁ28 (and you can't even begin to suggest that this amount accounts for inflation!).
  23. You will have one of those pinhole resets on the infotainment unit screen, if my assumption is incorrect. Perhaps 'xtrailman' is referring to it.
  24. Maybe; I've scheduled an appointment with the tyre fitter to have them take a look. It seems like something might have come loose or been broken while it was being fitted. If they are unable to fix it, I will schedule an appointment with Kia for next week. Despite the tires being fully inflated, the following messages have appeared on the screens. Thank you, but I am unable to implement that solution as my vehicle does not contain a reset button.
  25. I take it he left the old valves in place? Why not give the rest button, which is located next to the volume knob, a go?
  26. Hello, I usually see the individual tyre pressures displayed on my 2024 '3'. Earlier this evening, while driving home, everything was going smoothly. However, after stopping for approximately 40 minutes, I resumed my journey, but the display only shows the "drive to display" message without the values appearing after a short while. I drove six miles at different speeds and gave it two hours of my time, but it still wouldn't display any values. So, I can't even hold the tyre fitter responsible because the front tires were replaced approximately three weeks ago and the pressures were fine. Is this the first time you've run into an issue like this? Do you know what happened if there was an easy way to fix it? Much obliged.
