  1. I am enquiring whether anyone can alleviate my concerns. I owned a 2012 1.4 Civic for five years, which operated exceptionally well, characterised by its smoothness and quietness. However, upon upgrading to a 2021 model Civic 1.5 turbo, I have noticed that it is considerably noisy upon startup and during operation. The gearbox exhibits a lack of precision and vibrates slightly during shifts, while both road and cabin noise levels are markedly elevated. Is there a mechanical issue, or is this model inherently noisier and less refined? Thank you in advance.
  2. I am aware and apprehensive that this will likely occur. I have a plan for my future moves, however I could phone you tomorrow for a discussion.
  3. Indeed, it is my primary concern as well. I want to ascertain if BMW would provide written confirmation of their criteria for pursuing goodwill, for instance, if a one-year deficiency in service history results in case closure. I doubt they will explain their stance, but I remain optimistic!
  4. Greetings everyone, In summary: Acquired a 2013 316d six months ago in a private transaction. Two prior owners, comprehensive service history. Presently has 55,000 miles. - Last Tuesday and Wednesday, I undertook a round journey to Birmingham, covering 200 miles, without any issues. On Thursday morning, my vehicle only cranks but fails to start. - Diagnosed yesterday at a BMW-approved expert; probable timing chain problem. They have estimated £7000 for the engine replacement. This brings me to this point. I am investigating possibilities for BMW to cover the repair costs (in part or in whole) since I believe the vehicle's performance has significantly declined below acceptable standards for its age, mileage, ownership, and service history. BMW has informed me that I must pay to have the problem assessed at one of their service centres, which is £220 per hour. They will thereafter evaluate the potential for pursuing any goodwill, taking into account factors such as age, mileage, ownership, and service history. I am somewhat concerned that the previous owner neglected service for two years. Furthermore, although I scheduled a service for the vehicle within the week of purchase, it was conducted at my local garage, which is not BMW authorised. Has anybody previously engaged in this matter with BMW? If you possess any proof demonstrating that BMW has established a precedent, I may be able to use it for my case. Thank you very much!
  5. The invoice indicates a negative response, yet the checklist for the replacement components confirms a positive response. The engine air filter and oil filters were also updated.
  6. Could someone kindly specify which components are to be changed during the 8-year service for a 2016 1.6 GT Line Petrol vehicle? I have searched extensively, and I am experiencing difficulties with the vehicle, including starting troubles, stalling at traffic signals, and inconsistent acceleration.
  7. I will purchase more supplies and attempt to replenish, but according to my typical use in past vehicles, frequent topping up should not be necessary. I had almost a quart remaining in a bottle at home from some time ago. I poured all of it in, but it did not alleviate the issue. The quantity was nearly at the top before I replenished it. I would have assumed that my additional quart would enough to eliminate the alert.
  8. Until almost a month ago, I would get intermittent alerts regarding low windscreen wiper fluid when on a steep incline, but these warnings would dissipate quickly after the car levelled off. Recently, the alert has activated each time I start the vehicle after about one minute, and it often sounds again while in motion. I inspected the reservoir; it was almost full, but I filled it to capacity, which did not resolve the issue. I had never previously interacted with the reservoir, but upon inspection, I struggled to secure the top firmly. To my knowledge, no one else has handled it; possibly the warning is because to its looseness, since I am unable to secure it firmly. It remains in position after some adjustment, but it is not firmly secured. A buddy in the area informed me that he has suddenly encountered the same problem; is anybody else experiencing this?
  9. Hi, I can share the number of my mechanic which help me upgrade to a facelift. Cheers
  10. The Mazda dealer has advised me that the infotainment screen in Australia does not have touch screen functionality. The brochures and advertising at the time strongly implied that it had touch functionality. I am optimistic about finding something.
  11. The ECU has a code of 14018, whereas the tuner has a code of 25049. I am uncertain about the location to get the file version for the infotainment touch screen.
  12. Thank you, I have previously seen a video of a similar kind, however, it seems that Android Auto does not have the aforementioned choice. Perhaps the malfunction is exclusive to the Australian edition. They have eliminated many more features from our version. Next time I visit the dealer, I will address this matter.
  13. Has anybody successfully activated touch functionality for the central screen? I comprehend that enabling it is possible on Apple devices, but it seems that Android devices do not have equivalent alternatives. Currently, I do not have any touch capabilities, regardless of the speed or if the vehicle is parked or not. I am dissatisfied with the ongoing need to repeatedly manipulate my knob.
  14. For the benefit of everyone involved. The issue was caused by two malfunctioning headlight bulbs. Are you able to comprehend this? The garage changed the lights and everything is not flawless.
  15. I have examined the fuse and it seems to be in satisfactory condition. Peculiar. The side lights are functioning well. The rear lights are functioning well. There is a lack of a headlamp. However, when I activate the hazard lights, I perceive a distinct clicking noise emanating from the vicinity of the lights.
  16. I just bought the vehicle. The headlights will not turn on. I have completed the process of turning on the main beam and sipped beam. Under no circumstances. In the darkness, I attempted automatic, but to no avail. The mechanic gave the vehicle a MOT yesterday; hopefully, it passed. But the same thing happened when I demoed the car before, and the garage promised to fix it! Additionally, the headlights do not flash when you attempt to flash the lights on the stalk. Absolutely bizarre. I'm requesting your assistance.
  17. Their description should be more precise and closer to the truth. The vehicle is equipped with a 10-cylinder engine that generates 540 horsepower, enabling it to go from zero to 100 kph in a little 2.6 seconds. The automobile has an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
  18. There are no magnetic rides available and the mileage is not high. Could you provide information on the pricing and colour?
  19. I believe you intended to say 77,000 miles, but you are making good progress towards reaching the milestone of 100,000 miles.
  20. Similarly, I had not replaced my cabin filter in the three years I had owned the vehicle, despite paying for dealer servicing. Despite being listed as an annual service item in the handbook. No information provided. Although I have no reason to complain, if they had taken the time to inspect it, they would have recognised it was far from standard. This may have led them to decline the synchromesh rebuild and other warranty work they performed for me at no cost. Purchased a NAPA product at a reasonable price, and it fits well. (and it was quite successful for Ash Sutton in the British Touring Car Championship) majority of factors I have discovered two sizes of cabin filters: one for vehicles manufactured in Korea priced at about £20, and the other for automobiles built in Slovakia priced at around £45. Can you determine the origin of the UK models?
  21. I recently had a rattling noise behind my driver's door panel repaired. It was determined to be caused by the latch/striker pin, similar to the one on the tailboard. Both components have been replaced, and I am hopeful that the rattling has been resolved. I will confirm this after driving the vehicle tomorrow, but the technicians are sure that the issue has been rectified.
  22. The response was prompt. Remarkable. The vehicle in question is a 2007 C180 komp C class, which may not be equipped with the aforementioned "piece of trim." Upon careful examination of the door panel, I proceeded to remove the uppermost section of trim, which concealed a speaker. However, I saw that there was no discernible connection present, save from the harness cabling originating from the mirror. The door is equipped with a substantial lower trim that conceals a larger speaker. I am hesitant to proceed with the removal of this item until I have concrete evidence that the mirror connection is the underlying cause.
