  1. The platform is designed to facilitate the management of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), driver records for vehicle rental, and MoT status. The developers have said that further features would be added in the future.
  2. I am uncertain about the exact date of introduction of them, but I believe they are rather recent. I recently navigated the government website to establish my account, and the process was quite seamless. The website requested the standard government information for verification purposes, such as passport number and driving licence number. Consequently, I was able to promptly create and activate my account. Subsequently, I attempted to include my automobile in the account, but it was not accepted. The DVLA Driver and Vehicles account requires users to provide their complete names, which must match their official ID. However, my V5C document only has my first name and surname. As a result, the account experiences technical issues and does not accept my document. To resolve this issue, I contacted the customer services department. They informed me that the solution is to send my V5C document to the DVLA, with Section 3 filled out with my complete name. Additionally, I should include a covering letter clarifying my identity and explaining the need to update the V5C to match my customer account name. Subsequently, they will dispatch a fresh V5C document to me, which is expected to take around 4 weeks to complete. Once I have the new V5C, I will be able to log in and register my car. It is important to note that the new online accounts need complete names to be provided on the V5C.
  3. Possibly, in the future when ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) vehicles are no longer in use (but likely before that time), electric vehicle charging may be subject to an additional tax to replace the current fuel duty.
  4. For those who may not be informed? In my opinion, I think it is necessary to revamp the VED regime and implement a uniform fee for all cars, regardless of their emissions, government incentives, mileage, age, or kind of propulsion. The one exemption pertains to the heightened tariff imposed on high-priced automobiles. In my own view. https://www.foraymotorgroup.co.uk/news/the-2025-ved-tax-changes/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3iVErXEhx272yl4mf_x_V1PuQqJvdKsr6ULnPj-AzWsqNrdMgGsrNwnE8_aem_AW5FAUyUiE1YoxTK1degJ4b4ci_3rdrNImr3bzlLD4Lmp2iyggoGwh9Vffi2wchn08YFFrlAen3H8WJILK6d-E9g
  5. I have conducted some study. I want to experiment with using Tiger bond adhesive on the threads of a tyre screw.
  6. Has anybody used mushroom plugs, strings or screws for the purpose of repairing a tyre? If so, what are the techniques for implementing a long-lasting repair?
  7. With the gen 2.5 makeover, the gear ratios of the basic and performance models are now identical, unlike the gen 2 models which had varied gear ratios. Indeed, by utilising a tune, it is possible to achieve equivalent horsepower outputs. The braking package will undergo modifications, however, there are other methods to enhance those components.
  8. My MHEV with 3200 miles has been satisfactory, except for the recall and software upgrades. Unfortunately, my dealer is quite unprofessional. I will need to start a 45-minute journey to the other dealership in order to address warranty-related matters. In Oklahoma City, there are a total of two Mazda dealerships.
  9. My previous iPod is inoperable in my CX30, yet it is functional in all other vehicles I have had, which is really vexing.
  10. I shared this in the cx90 group and was sent here by someone. Any new information? My device produces similar unpredictable sounds. The dealership was unable to identify the issue, and Mazda HQ service has no record of such occurrences. It seems they do not document these problems for comparison.
  11. Is there a website that can provide me with the colour code for black based on the VIN? Would it be stated elsewhere?
  12. Charge up to 80% and always keep your device plugged in when possible.
  13. It seems that the necessary course of action is connecting the blue radio accessory wire to the black/blue remote wire on the amplifier socket, namely the bottom plug as seen in the aforementioned visual aids given by DrFeelGood.
  14. Indeed. Consider acquiring resistors that may provide evidence to support the functionality of the engine sensor.
  15. Alternatively. One potential approach would be to get a selection of resistors spanning the aforementioned range, and proceed to establish connections at the engine sensor location. Subsequently, observe the resulting readings on the gauge.
  16. Have you conducted an examination to ascertain the presence of these readings at the designated connections, indicated by the symbol "C"?
  17. Oh! It may be advisable to use a voltmeter set to measure voltage across the terminals of the battery in order to ascertain the readings obtained when different loads are activated. Could you please provide information on the engine thermostat? I failed to see that particular item on your first list.
  18. Additionally. The potential cause of the throttle potentiometer malfunction might perhaps be attributed to the wear and tear of its tracks.
  19. It seems that there may be a problem with the voltage stabilizer. Have you conducted an assessment of battery voltage under different load conditions in order to determine whether there are any fluctuations? Could you perhaps provide more context or specify the kind of voltage regulator you are referring to? I possess a comprehensive article on the topic of Electronic Throttle Mapping (ETM) for a Soft Dashboard. I will examine the matter at hand when I have the time throughout the weekend.
  20. Thank you for your response. I had not before seen a pin-lock mechanism incorporated into a tensioner device. However, it is often more convenient to access the majority of tensioners. I just thought that if I could lock it in place then I could put the belt on easy from top side. Subsequently, proceed to position oneself underneath the vehicle and proceed with the removal of the locking pin subsequent to the installation of the belt. Currently, I am using a wrench to manipulate the tensioner, while concurrently employing a rope to secure the wrench in a fixed position. This ensures that the tensioner is turned to its maximum extent, resulting in the slack position. I am now experiencing difficulty in achieving a proper fit with the belt. I am optimistic that the belt measuring 91-3/16 inches will be suitable for the intended use.
  21. The purchase of a 2024 SV was made at the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP), with the anticipated delivery scheduled for the month of December.
  22. Are you aware of the specific electrical component or system that is powered by the aforementioned fuse? If that is the case, I would recommend disconnecting all devices that are powered by it. Then, with the key in the on position, proceed to connect each of those end devices one by one until the specific device that causes the fuse to blow is identified. Proceeding from that point
  23. At what juncture does the fuse get disrupted? The task of locating it will be incumbent upon you. In the event that the key switch is activated and the fuse has a malfunction, it is advisable to disconnect the end devices that are being powered by the fuse. Next, activate the key and proceed to connect the end devices one by one until the fuse is blown, indicating the presence of a short circuit either inside the device itself or in the cabling leading to it.
