My go-to tires for long days on the road are the same, Toyo Open Country. The TPP here has been running for around twelve months. As mentioned before, we are currently at 6/32 with somewhat less than 12,000 miles on the odometer. I have my doubts about their ability to provide the mileage you desire. We've gone above and beyond the recommended three times to rotate and balance the tires and wheels. Let me know if you're keeping anything special from me.

Greetings everyone, I returned from Discount Tire just now. With a mileage of somewhat under 12,000, this was the third tyre rotation on our CX-70 TPP. They advise replacing it at 4/32 when the tread depth is 6/32. Does anyone else's OE Toyo tyre tread wear out before the expected time?

I just read about a major problem with this safety feature on a Hyundai Tucson forum. You should change the battery that operates the eCall feature every three years, according to some guidebook (don't ask me which one). I haven't looked through my Owners Handbook or service manual to see if this is mentioned, and I surely am not aware of it. Apparently it impacts European (that's us!) cars, and there's a rumour that US models might be unaffected. So, let's not assume that it's just a US problem. Even worse, it has been said that when the tiny battery dies, it can cause a number of safety measures in the automobile to stop working. If the three-year battery replacement requirement is accurate, as several commenters have claimed, owners may be in a state of panic because access to the battery is complicated and requires removing the entire dashboard and center console. If this turns out to be true, it will probably impact owners of the Sportage and maybe other models as well. It was mentioned that Hyundai Bayon had the same battery replaced. There isn't much information available yet, so I'll wait for more details before making a decision. If the eCall feature is the only one that stops functioning due to a defective battery and nothing else is damaged, then it wouldn't be catastrophic. The topic in question isn't one I frequent, but it seems much livelier than the UK one, where I am a regular reader, so for the time being I'm going with the idea that someone is just trying to cause trouble. It came to my notice that 'PhilHornby,' a former contributor to these pages, has been using his scanner to check the Tucson's systems because the red warning light next to his eCall button has been intermittently lighting up. B2992:15 eCall backup battery error was the result of the scanner's investigation. In his opinion, the battery won't need changing anytime soon, he said. The subject has never been brought up on this forum, and I am simply passing this along in a "information only" capacity. Naturally, any information would be greatly appreciated.

I suspect the input seal from the propshaft is the issue. Are you aware of the simplicity of this repair and the estimated expense involved?

Oil is non-conductive, allowing us to place oecus in oil consistently without adverse effects. It appears you may be experiencing an alternative issue, either a malfunctioning thermostat leading to a cold start mixture problem, a defective injector, or possibly another factor. I recently conversed with P. A. Roberts in Whitchurch, with whom I had previously engaged for services. I proposed a battery reset; nevertheless, he expressed scepticism over its efficacy. He believes the issue may lie in the receiver, either in the rearview mirror or in the trunk/spoiler region.

The batteries are correctly orientated, with the + sign pointing outward when installed. To my knowledge, the 2014 model does not need synchronisation upon battery installation. If the vehicle fails to detect the fob and displays a message such as "No remote control present," you may place the fob against the right side of the steering column housing to enable it to read the transponder in the key.

The key fob fails to unlock or lock the doors and trunk. New, functional batteries have been inserted in both keys. The vehicle does not indicate an inability to detect the remote fob and operates correctly when started and driven.

This evening, I attempted to unlock my vehicle, but it failed to respond; neither the doors nor the trunk would open. I extracted the key from the fob and unlocked the door. The alarm activated and ceased upon pressing the start button to engage the ignition; the vehicle started properly but thereafter displayed a message to replace the remote control battery. I measured the old battery at 2.8 volts and the new one at 3.3 volts; both are CR2450 models. However, it remains incapable of locking or unlocking. I attempted to use my backup key, but it was ineffective. I installed a fresh battery in that device, nevertheless it remains unresponsive. I drove to determine if that would reset it; it did not. I connected my OBD reader and retrieved the subsequent problem codes. 804415 Radio remote control battery voltage deficiency 801a55 DWA The alarm has been triggered. 8011F9 PTC Decreased heater output resulting from power management functionality. I erased them, leaving just the low battery remote code intact. Upon halting and deactivating the engine, all door locks disengage as expected. Additionally, if the vehicle is stopped and the dashboard button is used to unlock all doors, they unlock and then relock upon movement, indicating that the central locking system is functioning properly. I ensured that the positive terminal of the battery was positioned on the left during installation and that it was orientated correctly. Does anybody have any suggestions? I have transferred this after mistakenly publishing it in the E30 area; my apologies!

If you are unable to resolve the issue before to your trip, remove the fuses for the central locking and windows, and secure the vehicle with the key; this should ensure its safety.

reetings, For sale is a pair of authentic AMG 20-inch alloy wheels that were removed off my Designo S63 AMG W221. I am selling the wheels just because I have installed 21-inch wheels on my vehicle. The wheels have just been restored to their original shine by Spit and Polish. The first finish is sparkling silver with diamond-cut surfaces. The wheels are pristine. The delivery occurred on March 2, 2025. The last photograph depicts the appearance of the wheels on the vehicle; however, since the refurbishment, they have not been equipped with tires nor installed on the automobile. The next two photographs depict the appearance of the wheels prior to refurbishment, which was just standard silver. I removed the masking tape from one of the wheels for anyone interested in seeing the whole wheel, which has diamond-cut faces and a diamond-cut lip. The photographs fail to adequately represent the wheels! The specs of the wheel are as follows: Fronts - 8.5J x 20 ET43 A22114016202 Rear wheels - 9.5j x 20 ET43 A22114016302 They will also include fresh new center caps. Regarding the tires. The wheels will have eight tires. Four Dunlop tires with the original dimensions: front 255/35R20, rear 275/35R20. The tires are uniformly 6mm in thickness and are free of punctures. These are tires designed for summer conditions. The tires are many years old, although they are neither deteriorated nor damaged. The remaining tires are four winter tyres. The front tires are Continental, while the rear tires are Pirelli, all four being premium winter tires in their original dimensions: front 255/35R20 and rear 275/35R20. The tires are uniformly at 6mm with no punctures present. Collection only, since I want to avoid the potential damage of the wheels during transit. I get why you’d think that. I live just outside Belfast and Ballinliss Transport have been around for years doing haulage work. They’re not some brand new company that appeared last month. I haven’t bought a car from them, but I’ve seen their transport lorries on the road for a long time. Doesn’t automatically make the vehicle side perfect, but they’re a real firm.
