rab60bit88
Greetings I just purchased the highest trim level of the 2021 model of the CX30 in Europe. I am experiencing difficulties comprehending if it should possess wireless android auto functionality or not. There are some instructions available on how to activate the Mazda guide on cars from 2021 onwards, but unfortunately, it is not functioning as expected. It is possible that I should consider updating the programme. I am experiencing a state of mental perplexity and uncertainty. I would much appreciate your assistance. QuirkyPixel
Wireless Android Auto is not included as a standard feature in the 2021 versions available in Europe. The option to buy it as a dealer option is available, and it may be installed in the central console. There are other aftermarket choices available, including the Mazda original equipment manufacturer (OEM) option.
SD1too
I purchased a wireless dongle, namely the AA Wireless model, and considered the task complete. Functions flawlessly.
rab60bit88
Is it not necessary to have a software update that is compatible with it? Based on the information provided on this Mazda website, am I interpreting it correctly?
Rudy7831
After reading the Danish brochure, which confirms the information, I have sent a message to my nearby Mazda dealer to inquire about it. Let's observe what they have to say.
KWILB
The website only pertains to vehicles equipped with the latest 10-inch display, indicating that only 2024 models are likely to provide wireless projection functionality.
rab60bit88
Could a software upgrade maybe address this issue?
HOV
If you want this functionality, you have the option to purchase an adaptor.
QuirkyPixel
Automobiles manufactured before model year 2024 do not come equipped with the necessary hardware for wireless charging or wireless compatibility with Android Auto/Apple Car Play as a standard feature. Hardware limitations prevent a software update from introducing new functionalities.
rab60bit88
Is there a method to verify that an adapter is not depleting the battery of your automobile while the vehicle is not in use? I have received information that certain individuals engage in this activity.
HOV
The USB ports lack electricity while the automobile is not in operation. I saw this information in the instructions and verified its accuracy during the installation of my dashcam.
torque2me
There was a discussion on a different online forum about the possibility of retrofitting Wireless CarPlay in MX-5s by just replacing the CMU (Car Multimedia Unit) with a compatible one. Perhaps we can explore a similar solution for our CX-30s. Retrieve the part numbers and related information.
