bl52krz
Recently, I made a purchase for a CX-60 (SkyActiv 2.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC) and it is expected to be delivered in August of this year. Upon further examination of the automobile, it seems that it lacks a favourable reputation. Although Mazda has addressed some issues, the general consensus among most individuals is that the overall situation remains mostly unchanged. Although I am strongly inclined to withdraw, my fondness for the automobile prevents me from doing so. Is there anybody who can provide a recommendation? Do the issues have a significant impact and are they not acceptable?
CelestialSeeker
There were great expectations at the beginning of the CX60. Many purchasers believed that this product would also fulfil the high quality and performance standards set by Mazda. Nevertheless, Mazda's handling of the situation was subpar, since they encountered several avoidable flaws that might have been mitigated by more development time. Due to one or more reasons, Mazda failed to compensate the customers, thereby turning them into unpaid test drivers. After almost two years of being available for purchase, Mazda has successfully resolved many of the problems and has managed to address the remaining concerns in a manner that brings them to a more standard level. The peculiar sound that occurs while shifting gears from 5th to 6th is considered normal from their perspective. The abnormal noise in the suspension while executing a rapid turn remains unresolved. Up till now. Infotainment: When receiving a phone call, you must reselect your audio source. The chord is FM with an added DAb note. Thus yet, no solution has been found. (We had the identical problem with our Mazda CX30) Facial recognition technology: rated 5 out of 10. Utilising one's feet to access the trunk: There is a 30% chance of success. I ceased using it. There is no identification of persons on the back. If a passenger mistakenly applies an incorrect lock for the seatbelt, it is necessary to halt the automobile and restart it in order to cease the alert from persisting. Thus yet, there has been no resolution. In summary: Is this the highest quality Mazda model available? Negative. Is the service satisfactory? I endured almost three-quarters of a year driving a subpar vehicle and incurred substantial expenses as a result. The remuneration they provide is inadequate. Would I repurchase it? Unlikely. In response to your inquiry, the CX70 and CX90 models have a striking resemblance to the CX60. The knowledge they acquired from us is currently being used in the design and production of vehicles. nickoyster4
I had the steering column replaced in my CX60 on February 23rd. The dealer provided me with a rental vehicle for around 5 to 6 weeks while the wait for the necessary components and installation. I was really surprised when I got a recall notice from Mazda two weeks ago, stating that a spring needed to be changed on the recently installed steering column component. I have lost confidence in the Japanese engineering of Mazda. I am also experiencing an issue with the rear driver-side door handle, which remains extended if not properly greased. The primary dealer has notified me that a component has arrived to fix this problem. I have installed the most recent updates at the time when the steering problem occurred. I maintain my belief that the rear suspension is excessively inflexible, nevertheless, my primary dealership asserts that there is no Mazda recall pertaining to this matter. diablos_carcv5
It seems that not all individuals have identical experiences. I am very satisfied with my automobile and get pleasure from driving it every day. Furthermore, any necessary servicing or upgrade was exceptional. I didn't spend any money. motorman3
I didn't have to pay anything. However, it consumed a significant amount of my time and caused me some frustration. Certain improvements were ineffective for me, and the problems persist. I am pleased that you are experiencing happiness. Take pleasure in the automobile. Flexfer
The Mazda CX60 owners were used as unpaid product testers and were treated to complete disdain when they voiced their concerns, all the while their feedback was meticulously documented and utilised for the development of other models and subsequent iterations. bl52krz
The car's potential is being compromised, perhaps due to the striking resemblance between the CX-70 and CX-90 models. This explains the decision to choose for the CX-60 instead. I am on the verge of being one of the witnesses.
SD1too
None of the aforementioned problems are present in my automobile. There have been no issues reported since April 24th and the vehicle has travelled a distance of 28,000 km.
xsports
Currently, I am really satisfied with my CX-60 with the implementation of 8 software upgrades. Imperfect yet adequate. The only aspect of the vehicle that is of poor quality is the rear suspension. I have been informed that consumers in some countries have the option to get an alternative suspension system at no additional cost. I am uncertain whether this also applies to The Netherlands, thus I will promptly verify this information with my Mazda dealer.👍
peakroach
I own one of the first models that was sent to Sweden in 2022. It still has some unresolved problems to this day, albeit not all of them. This specific Mazda model seems to have been manufactured with a higher than average quality tolerance, making it particularly sensitive to the quality and expertise of the repair facility. The latter, referring to the second portion, has the utmost significance since it is the only component of the agreement that falls wholly within your jurisdiction. Discovering a skilled technician can greatly enhance your enjoyment of this vehicle, since even little tweaks and intricate nuances significantly influence the whole driving experience. johnnyb44
I own one of the first prototypes that was sent to Sweden in 2022. Even now, it continues to have a few unsolved issues, but not all of them. This particular Mazda model seems to have been produced with a greater level of quality tolerance than the usual, which means it is more sensitive to the quality and experience of the repair facility. The latter, which refers to the second half, is of paramount relevance since it is the only part of the agreement that is completely within your authority. Finding a proficient mechanic may dramatically boost your satisfaction with this car, since even little adjustments and subtle details have a huge impact on the overall driving experience.
