Gianni682
Greetings, I have just acquired a 23 Sportage, but, it did not have a parcel shelf or load cover. I have seen individuals using MK4 Sportage load covers in an MK3 model, and the terminal connections seem to be comparable. Therefore, I am attempting to determine if I may use an MK4 load cover in my just acquired Sportage. There is a significant disparity in prices across all age categories on eBay. I am being frugal and hesitant to make a purchase without a clear understanding of its potential success. Expressing gratitude!
ElectricEclipse
It is unusual that a 23 Sportage would already be without the shelf. Have you inspected the area under the trunk floor to ensure that nothing has been stowed there? Upon observing the configuration of the back portion of the extendable shelf, it is evident that the Mk5 variant differs from the Mk4 version and does not seem to be compatible - however this is really a conjecture on my part. The most inexpensive Mk5 I have discovered is priced at slightly under £80, including postage and packaging, when using a discount code. Gianni682
Thank you. I examined the area under the boot floor, but unfortunately, I could not find what I was looking for. Presumably, the prior owner removed it and neglected to reinstall it. Your guidance is quite beneficial. I have saw the £80 listing on eBay. I am exhibiting stubbornness since a similar item was recently available for £50, but I refrained from placing a bid at the time. I believe I will have to face the difficult situation and make a tough decision. Expressing gratitude!
QuirkyPixel
The previous owner likely had a dog, which would explain why there is a dog sitting in the garage, much as mine usually does.:) The current proprietor of one of my previous vehicles has successfully located me about its ownership. Uncertain about the method he used, it is conceivable that such an accomplishment may be unattainable in the present era of data security. Treeri
I have had both the 4th and 5th generation devices, and I have noticed that the blind track on the 5th generation is distinct from that of the 4th generation. However, the functionality of the blind cassette is relatively similar across the two generations. The blinds seem to have a similar form, however I cannot definitely confirm that they are of same size. I definitely wouldn't want to invest my money in it. After doing a search on the PartSouq Catalogue, I found that the component number for the 4th generation blind assembly is 85910F1000, whereas the part number for the 5th generation is 85940R2000. Gianni682
Thank you, I find this information to be quite beneficial. The decision to purchase an MK4 blink in order to economise has been abandoned.
ElectricEclipse
whether you happen to be in a supermarket parking lot and see a Mk4 Sportage, you could just park close and politely ask (after observing him discreetly) whether you might test his car's luggage cover in your own vehicle. WolfieBase
To clarify the situation, I attempted to install my neighbor's Gen 4 parcel shelf (tonneau cover?) into my Gen 5 vehicle this morning. However, it is not compatible and would not fit. Even if it did fit, the connecting mechanism is different, rendering it non-functional. Attempting to install a Gen 5 parcel shelf inside a Gen 4 will also be unsuccessful.
