havefun2022
I'm contemplating cleaning and detailing my car on my own.Since the local valet service can't seem to provide reliable results, I've decided to handle it myself.Any suggestions for a good steam cleaner for the inside would be much appreciated. norbury.brook
It's a pain, but I don't know many valeters who steam clean. Most simply scour with a decent upholstery cleanser and damp hoover. If you have beige seats, you must clean every inch equitably, or it will dry uneven and unkempt.
Black_raven
George GVE370 wet/dry is a great all-arounder.
vitessear3
Modern automobile interiors are not as 'robust' against heating as they were 30 years ago?

DMGRS
stevenkeyte .Can you recommend a good upholstery cleaner?
stevenkeyte
I'd say there's a possibility you'd do more damage than good by steaming, and the same goes for steam cleaning exteriors. I used to use hot water through our pressure washers; if you got heated water in a crack, it could cause paintwork to blister. I would say the most important aspect of doing a decent job is the strength of the substances you use. I used to use auto clever brisk , bio brisk. You can also use g101 from auto clever, which I'd say cleans better but smells less pleasant; however, you must be cautious as it can damage leather. vitessear3
I think that a lot of current valet guys think that steam can weaken seat materials and glue, which might not bother a seller but would be a problem if the car was a keeper. It seems like wet vacs and chemicals are enough?
