torque2me
Greetings After briefly examining my battery, I am perplexed to see that it has the code. The pole is marked with the number 24.10. Does this imply that my battery has been in use for a duration of 14 years... I am cognisant of the fact that it has been many years, but... 14 years?? BENZE220AMG
Indeed, that is pretty typical for a battery of that age in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
SD1too
As stated in a previous discussion today, the Mercedes-Benz branded batteries in my SL vehicle was installed 20 years ago. However, I am unaware of the exact year of its manufacturing.
torque2me
That is really incredulous and may I have the audacity to request any further information on it! Experiencing a malfunction with the speed sensor on the right rear wheel... I am wondering whether the battery is the cause of the problem. Or is it at least exacerbating my troubles? DMGRS
Most likely. From my recollection, I changed the original OEM battery on my 2006 C55 when it was around 13 years old. Despite its age, the battery was still functioning well. I decided to replace it as a precautionary measure. Additionally, at that time, ECP was offering significant discounts on Bosch batteries, which made it a logical choice for me. I had replenished it with distilled water on many occasions. Do you recall when batteries had that feature?! The year is 2006. The prevailing agreement for batteries in contemporary automobiles is around 5 years, which is very environmentally friendly. Recently, I provided assistance to a buddy in resolving many issues with his Nissan Pick up truck. Installing a new battery resolved all of the issues...the vehicle is 4 years old.
