CelestialSeeker
This week, I found out about the driver and passenger comfort settings that activate the heated steering wheel, driver's seat, and passenger's seat warmers when the temperature control deems it necessary. This feature automatically turns on the selected heating options when you enter a chilly vehicle. I chose all three options and spent many days with my wife in temperatures ranging from 0 to 15 degrees Celsius in February. The temperature has decreased to a range of -6 to +4 degrees Celsius, and the driver's seat heating has failed to turn on twice. This morning the temperature is about -2 degrees Celsius. I moved the vehicle and found that I don't have heated seats, but I do have a heated steering wheel. I verified the connection settings and found that all 3 boxes were checked. I adjusted the driver's seat and activated it again, and the driver's seat heating started working. Another system that operates inconsistently, in addition to the driver recognition. Starting to regret this automobile.
honeycut_mazda5
To enable the vehicle to manage the seats and steering wheel, you must activate the Auto function on the temperature control. To prevent the vehicle from controlling a specific item, such as heated seats or steering wheel heating, manually adjust the settings without using the Auto function on the temperature screen. It is a functional system that operates dependably when used correctly.
CelestialSeeker
I don't like your insinuation that I am incompetent. There have been no changes in the automobile, it was functioning well, and the temperature control setting is on auto. Otherwise, the untick/tick function would not have functioned. The heated steering wheel functioned as anticipated, however the seat heater did not activate. Since I was alone, I am unsure whether the passenger seat was also impacted. honeycut_mazda5
If the icons on the left of the screen are no longer visible, the Auto setting will not function. Press the Auto button one again to see whether the icons appear.
CelestialSeeker
Perhaps your campfire is OK, and I am unsure about my actions in this situation.
honeycut_mazda5
This is my intended design for the icons. If certain components are not functioning, the vehicle will not start: heated seats or steering wheel. If it is very cold outside, the heated seat will initially turn on with 3 lights and gradually decrease based on the car's temperature and the outside temperature. Once the seat stops heating, pressing the button will activate it again, but the indicator arrow will no longer display. The seat will not automatically turn on the next time the car is started. Pressing a chair button overrides the auto function and prevents it from returning to auto for the chair/steering choices.
WanderlustGuru
Simply hit the auto button. Indicators on the dashboard display which seat has automatic heating.
honeycut_mazda5
This dessert effectively highlights some of the problems with this vehicle, since it is somewhat challenging to handle. Face recognition consistently works when you are seated, engage the brake, and delay pressing the start button until the seat and steering wheel are adjusted. Everything is always satisfactory. 👍☺
WanderlustGuru
Braking is unnecessary. Simply remain in the automobile for a little while. Fasten your seatbelt. Pressing the start button will cause the whole procedure to stop.
honeycut_mazda5
You will end up pressing the brake anyway, in my opinion 😉 Understood.
