  1. Taking off the AC condenser and radiator leaves no room for a rattle gun, right?
  2. It seems definitive! The second one it came with was completely at random, so I'll probably receive three Goodyears to match. Here's hoping!
  3. It appears that they are dividing opinions. Might I ask which ones you have?
  4. Salutations everyone. To silence the boo-hoo, I'm prepared to purchase four 225/55/17 tires for my 520d. I am astounded by the fact that the front Michelin Primacy, while being 3 mm thick, maintain an excellent grip in wet conditions. Worn out and unimpressed with the little drone they produce. Hopefully it's not a bearing, which it appears not to be. I could have three Goodyears because there's one Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 on the rear that's one year old. Or, I could acquire four decent mid-range tyres (I'm not keen on spending £600 on high-end tyres) like Nankang or Khhumos for the same price. While I do desire decent wet grip, my primary concern is just having comfortable tires; handling is of utmost importance to me. Am I to ask for advice? Additionally, there are those who believe that the original fitting was much inferior to current run flats. Is that so? Having a puncture in my car—the one I use for work site visits—would ruin my office day, especially because I don't have a spare. So, that would be a godsend. Best regards
  5. That helps, but companies can still branch into dodgy territory. What bothers me is full payment upfront no deposit, no card option, nothing.
  6. Thank you! It was indeed drizzling, which may have contributed to it.
  7. I am uncertain whether I overlooked this previously or if it is a recent occurrence. I have configured my headlights to automatic for activation and high/low beam adjustment. While driving home last night on a backroad, I saw that each time the blue high beam indicator on the dashboard extinguished due to an impending vehicle, the green indicator also turned off. The headlights functioned properly externally; nevertheless, I recall that the green indicator light on the dashboard consistently illuminated when in use, regardless of whether the high beams were activated or deactivated. Has anyone else observed this on their devices? Thank you!
  8. I have utilised Bosch blades several times, which are far cheaper than those at ECP and Halfords.

  11. Only if the oil level was extremely low, as the engine would overheat and seize. Does it presume that the vehicle lacks a manual dipstick?
  12. Greetings, Activating sport mode will initiate the engine automatically.
  13. They need not be XL [Edit: for the MHEV]. The Toyo original equipment tires are SL rated with a load capacity of 107.
  14. Your dealer is either deceitful or incompetent. Request a detailed explanation of how one of those tires fails to comply with Mazda's specifications.
  15. My primary confusion is to the 4MATIC system, rather than the potential protrusion of the rims from the fender.
  16. The new wheels with an offset of 33 will protrude 10mm more than the appropriate ET of 42 - 46.
  17. Consider detaching the crankcase breather tube and operating the vehicle (venting the crankcase to the environment as was customary in earlier automobiles). Your assertion that the issue originates from the exhaust and beneath the bonnet suggests a potential pressure problem caused by a clogged PCV line. I am not quite certain of the configuration of these engines (I can investigate more), but in most cases, the crankcase breather will experience positive pressure during boost and negative pressure (vacuum) during idle. It seems that there may be excessive pressure in the crankcase, causing oil to leak from certain seals under the hood and beyond the turbocharger.
  18. This strongly suggests that the swirl flaps are causing the vehicle to enter limp mode. During the first startup, the swirl flap actuator does a sweep to assess the range of motion. If it identifies a deviation from specifications, it activates limp mode, but the engine management light may not illuminate. The vehicle performs the sweep just at the first startup; so, when it is subsequently turned off and restarted, the engine reverts to full power mode. Scanning it should reveal the error related to swirl flap deviation. Thank you.
  19. Update time... The T-roc arrived tonight around 6 pm. Transporter called about one hour before arrival. First reaction was relief! It’s booked in with my local garage tomorrow morning for a full inspection. Happy to admit I might have judged too quickly.
  20. Alright… I’ve done something slightly mad. I reserved the VW T-Roc yesterday and transferred payment this morning. Heart was racing pressing confirm. They’ve acknowledged receipt and said delivery is being arranged for next week... 8 days If this goes wrong, feel free to say “told you so.”
