FireCar
Hello, I am experiencing an issue with repairing the hood, which I have been informed involves a micro switch. I have scheduled appointments at three different garages, and I have been continuously dismissed for over seven months. My BMW has just 66,000 miles, and I am something of a fanatic about it, since it is immaculate both inside and out. It left the factory equipped with all available features at the time, including a television. I consulted a BMW technician who diagnosed the issue as a malfunctioning micro switch located on the left side inside the canopy storage compartment. I have searched extensively for a replacement, but have been unable, since suppliers continue to provide parts for later models. I reside in the Nottinghamshire region of the UK and would really appreciate any assistance available. Thank you for your consideration. Best regards to everybody
Doncaster34
Is it emitting light? You may connect the terminals directly and eliminate the switch. Examine Realoen for the component number, then do a Google search; you may locate the switch in that manner.

FireCar
Thank you for your prompt response. Please be patient with me, since at 75 years of age, my days of working beneath automobiles are over, but I remain mobile.Laughing out loud. I verified that all pump levels are OK. The red light on the inside console began to flash, marking the onset of the issue, and it now flashes continuously.Which switch are you referring to? Doncaster34
The micro switch will likely be included with the catch. It may be difficult to identify, but observe for the slender cable connected to it.
FireCar
I will examine it. I am becoming more frustrated with the installation and removal of the hardtop. I reside in Worksop; if someone could rectify this issue, please contact me.
torque2me
Search for the component numbers online to see their images, as sales platforms such as eBay provide visual references.
FireCar
I am uncertain of the specific component number, since I have yet to determine its intended destination. Additionally, garages seem disinterested; two have informed me that the vehicle is too old to get parts, despite its showroom condition.
