Replacing the front wheel on the 2023/2024 Evoque

After 60 years of driving and having owned at least 50 vehicles, I never anticipated the day would come when I would need to enquire about changing a wheel. I damaged one of the front tires on my 23/24 Evoque, and the company I contacted for the delivery and installation of the appropriate tire, a Pirelli Scorpion Zero 245/45 R21 104W extra load, failed to meet my expectations. I located a tyre at Guildford Tyres, but it requires me to transport my wheel to their location. I extracted my scissor jack, positioned it into the metal groove on the underside, and commenced turning it repeatedly. The body ascends, but the wheel remains securely on the ground. The distance between the top of the wheel and the body is increasing; I cannot observe the jack extending sufficiently high. Could someone provide guidance? I am unable to locate any information in the menu concerning suspension locking. It is not a Land Rover scissor jack; it is a new Halfords model that extends to 39 centimetres. Assistance would be valued.

A jack compatible with an Evoque can be purchased inexpensively on eBay. Note that shipments may occasionally originate from China and could have delays in arrival.
In the meanwhile, utilise a block of wood or paving slabs beneath the jack.

Prior to lifting the vehicle, it is imperative to deactivate the air suspension. With the ignition activated, depress the "UNLOCK" button on the gear shifter and simultaneously press the "AIR SUSPENSION" button for five seconds until "Jacking Mode" is shown on the dashboard. Subsequently, employ your jack.
