KOOLCAR
I own a 2007 Mini R56 1.6 Cooper. The dipstick is equipped with a coiled metal design, which poses a considerable challenge in terms of readability, particularly when it contains fresh oil. Is it possible to use any dipstick from the 1.6 Mini range, or is it necessary to utilise the specific one?
EtherealWanderer
Indeed, there is a simple method to interpret the readings. First, thoroughly dry the dipstick. Then, immerse it again into the substance being measured. Upon removing the dipstick, have a clean tissue ready. Place the dipstick on the tissue, and the point where the wetness starts indicates the oil level.
nimbuye5
The only difference lies in the Mini One Prince engine, which is somewhat shorter. EtherealWanderer, please correct me if I am mistaken.
KOOLCAR
Thank you for responding. Could you possibly provide more clarification? The engine in my vehicle is the Prince model.
nimbuye5
I purchased a product from Amazon and effortlessly adjusted its length to match that of my original using an Allen key. By the way, you said that you possessed Cooper, not just one.
KOOLCAR
Correct Although I do own a Cooper, I believe I may have misunderstood your statement. I interpreted it as "Just the Mini one." The Prince engine is unique. The correct interpretation of your statement is that the Mini One Prince engine is distinct from what you originally stated. I apologise. KOOLCAR
When I said having the prince one, I was referring to possessing the Prince engine, not the Mini One engine.
nimbuye5
I found the Amazon product to be of high quality considering its price. The gold top option or the Craven Speed option are both available at a reasonable price.
