honeycut_mazda5
Greetings, The functionality of the two USB ports seems to be suboptimal. I am unable to establish a connection with my iPod or tab in order to play them. Does it imply that just the blue tooth is effective? This is really vexing. nickoyster4
Commencing with the 2024 model, some trim levels have transitioned from standard USB ports to USB-C ports. It may be necessary to get a new cable or an adapter.
honeycut_mazda5
Thank you for your response. However, I have attempted to connect a USB-C cord to my iPod, but it has not turned out.
KWILB
Are you referring to the fact that "car play" does not work with them? It is evident that the inability to use an iPad with CarPlay integration is a unique characteristic exclusive to Apple. As I do not own any Android Tablets, I am uncertain about the compatibility of Android Auto with tablets.
honeycut_mazda5
It is an antiquated iPod equipped with iTunes. Furthermore, my Android tablet is now unable to establish a connection. In my opinion, there is a need for more USB ports. I suspect that the reason is due to the advanced age of my iPod. However, it is unfortunate that our second vehicle is capable of handling both old and modern vehicles, but it is of German origin.
VVC-Geeza
My previous iPod is inoperable in my CX30, yet it is functional in all other vehicles I have had, which is really vexing.

peakroach
Upon connecting, are you using the source button located on the steering wheel or modifying the source settings in the infotainment centre to designate your smartphone as the source? Have you experimented with Bluetooth technology?
honeycut_mazda5
I will attempt to use the steering wheel, but I believe it is just outdated. It lacks Bluetooth functionality. I anticipate the need to purchase a Bluetooth gadget.
MDMH757
I own a vintage iPod, consisting of two distinct models, with one being older than the other. Both lack Bluetooth. I connect any of them to the USB connection on the console and they function well. I just need to choose them as options, same to how you would pick Sirius/XM, Pandora, or my Bluetooth iPhone. Nevertheless, subsequent to the adoption of a wireless vehicle Play adapter, I only use the vehicle play feature to stream my music from my iPhone. honeycut_mazda5
I will make another attempt tomorrow. This seems to be a positive development. Thank you. I am quite fond of and value this forum. I have just purchased a CX 30, which I assume is the most recent model available. The skyline is located in Humera. Additionally, it lacks the feature of automated cubby hole charging for the phone. MDMH757
The CX-30 lacks a cubby hole charging feature, unlike the phone alternative. The USB connector through which I connect my iPod is located in the cubby, next to the SD card slot used for navigation purposes.
honeycut_mazda5
Indeed, that seems to be the same type that I own. I really anticipate implementing your advice tomorrow. I am now located in France, and it is dusk. I express my gratitude for your assistance in resolving this vexing issue.
honeycut_mazda5
I attempted your recommendations, however they were ineffective for me. A thumb drive is functional. I have made the decision to purchase a more recent iPod equipped with Bluetooth. I believe it would be beneficial to increase the number of USB ports and include one that is compatible with older devices.
