  2. This is evidently a situation involving a malfunctioning deactivation of a function within the display module, and unless this option is reactivated through the diagnostic tool (diagnostics/programming), both screens will remain illuminated in orange without presenting any data. Regrettably, without a reprogramming tool (ISTA, Autologic, or a comparable device), it is unfeasible to restore the odometer to operational status independently. The sole remedy is to visit a MINI garage or a BMW/MINI specialist capable of reactivating the function in the appropriate module. Fortunately, the procedure is expeditious and involves merely a code adjustment.
  3. Disabling the odometer display function using the diagnostic tool is erroneous due to my inadvertent selection of the incorrect menu option in English. I committed this error, resulting in my two little screens illuminating orange without providing any further information. I lack a reprogramming tool, so I am unable to restart the function.
  4. Greetings to everyone, Seeking guidance. 2001 Mini One R50 model. The LCD section of the speedometer and tachometer is not displaying, as depicted in the images. Having no prior experience with this model, I have worked on several R56 Ones and Coopers. Is there a footwell module or another typical issue associated with this, similar to the R56s? The tachometer and speedometer are operational; I have attempted to disconnect and reconnect the tachometer. Any guidance on potential sources would be valued. Thank you
  5. The DPF fault is merely coincidental; it activated thereafter and will remain an active information code until the vehicle is informed that the DPF has been replaced. Indeed, the connection to the valve is the component that requires inspection. What is the resistance of the glow plug, and have you verified that the wiring to it has not been obstructed during the rocker cover installation?
  6. Thank you for your response, DMGRS. The EGR I installed was marketed as a brand new authentic part. They are dispatching a replacement for me to install; we shall see if that resolves the issue. I removed the plastic cover, which was adhered, applied WD40 to release it, still the issue persists. Is the plug you are referring to the one on the EGR, or is it a different plug? If I can rectify the EGR issue, I anticipate that the DPF problem will resolve, as it has persisted shortly after the EGR malfunction. I have inspected the glow plug in cylinder one, and it is functioning properly; yet, a malfunction persists. I removed the plugs, injectors, etc., to replace the rocker cover, and it has been since that time that the glow plug defect has emerged. Thank you in advance.
  7. Which brand of EGR have you installed? Have you removed the plastic cover to ascertain if it operates smoothly? It is also advisable to examine the plug, as I have encountered instances of damaged pins. The DPF indicates that the DOF has reached the end of its operational life, as per BMW's assessment; it is merely a software feature activated at a specific mileage threshold. You can resolve that by indicating that the DPF is new using diagnostics. It appears that the glow plug in cylinder one has failed. The DPF sensor may be functioning accurately, however the EGR valve could be partially open when it should not be, resulting in a decrease in exhaust pressure.
  8. I possess a 2011 F10 520D 5 Series vehicle. I require assistance with certain fault codes; I have reset the faults but cannot maintain the Engine Management Light in an off state. I utilised ISTA+ and the fault codes obtained are as follows: EGR Valve - 257E00 - Exhaust gas recirculation actuator, position sensor, signal: Open or short-circuit to ground Diesel particle filter - 244800 - Information - particulate filter system: Restricted remaining capacity of particulate filter Preheating Control - 242200 - Activation of Preheater Plug, Cylinder 1: Preheater plug resistance exceeds specifications Exhaust gas pressure sensor - 25C800 - Exhaust back pressure sensor located upstream of the diesel particulate filter: Sensor deviation beyond acceptable limits I replaced the EGR valve and attempted to reset the adaptations, but was unable to do so using ISTA+ for some reason. The exhaust gas pressure sensor is a recent defect, following the EGR replacement, and the preheating control is also new. I have conducted an extensive motorway drive to clear the DPF, but I am still unable to resolve the condition.
  9. Hello everyone, I have resolved the issue; it was a fuse in the engine compartment.
  10. The vehicle fails to crank entirely; I am enquiring whether the fuel cut-off switch would allow it to crank or not.

  12. As far as I am aware The engine can initiate operation with the airbag indicators illuminated. It must be connected to diagnostics to eliminate conjecture.
  13. I sustained an accident in my 2015 Vito W447. The battery is functional, but when I attempt to start the vehicle, it does not engage; only the ignition lights illuminate. I have replaced the pyro fuse. Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Should the vehicle start with the airbag lights illuminated?

  15. Thank you very much. I am now in the planning stages of my project, but I have not yet encountered anyone who has utilised a full-size spare tire. Images would be appreciated at your earliest convenience. I wish you a swift recovery.
  16. Superior to the alternative. 🙂 Wishing you a swift recovery.
  17. I am now unable to take photographs as I am in the hospital; however, I will attempt to do it next week, if that is acceptable. Do not age; it will not be enjoyable.
  18. Are you prepared to share further photographs or further information? I intend to accommodate a full-size spare tire in that space, allowing ample room for accessories such as chargers and emergency equipment. Require inspiration.
  19. I placed a normal 18" CX-30 wheel atop the Bose subwoofer and fabricated an extra 8mm bolt to secure it. Ample space for a tool bag (jack, yellow jacket, etc.) organised around the wheel. Positioned two wooden pieces on the exterior sides of the boot/trunk to stabilise the 'fake' floor atop this configuration. Despite the presence of the thick rubber floor carpet, minimal space is compromised.
