  1. Past hour
  2. To all the users of this site, my back is The same thing that happened around 18 months ago—the passenger door won't open—has happened again. Is this possible for a failed mot test?
  3. The complete refill on that engine is 5.25L, so you're not even using half of the oil 😉
  4. One half would be 2.5 litres. Your 2017 vehicle seems to be experiencing a leak based on the typical mileage.
  5. Hello there, 10,000 millilitres and the standard 1 litre
  6. It would be helpful if you could specify the amount of oil you're replacing and the number of miles you travel in between services.
  7. Hello, I've done 97,000 mls of oil in my 2017 520i, and now it's using half of the oil between services. Is this normal?
  8. a. Presently, it is not simple to identify during a routine MOT. It may not be so easy to include this in the regular MOT test. c. They'll need to show that you were the first owner if you aren't already. In a nutshell, it appears that this will be useful during specific investigations, such as those following major accidents. Or maybe if the government were to conduct a raid on tuners and seize their client lists. But it's highly improbable to be a normal check.
  9. I am not holding my hope for this government since they have never promised so much and done so little.

  11. Unless the penalties are hefty enough..... It will still be against the law, but they'll be able to enforce it with force. Based on the article in the first post making alterations to a vehicle, either by yourself or by someone else, that cause it to fail to meet the approved emissions criteria. The good news is that mystery shops are already busting shops that are making illegal mods, so this trend will only accelerate. Before I acquire a car, I want to make sure nobody has tampered with it unlawfully. It wasn't the finest source, but it was the first one I discovered, and there are more.
  12. It didn't work out so well, in my opinion, when the government planned to "smash" the human smuggling organisations. The media, as usual, is making a headline out of nothing.
  13. As they have for decades, the tuners will continue to use generic remaps to adjust power, torque, and efficiency. It makes me question how many older diesel vehicles have had the AdBlue system pre-installed. When confronted with a £2k charge to fix the system instead, many see it as a no-brainer and readily available "service" for £250 or so. Because many of them either don't know that testing is unlawful or didn't know that the prior owner had it done, they're in for a rude awakening when it happens.
  14. Yeah....on that, there is a topic that is quite similar. Discussion Board Topic: "Roadmap for Future Emissions Regulations"

  16. I hope this hasn't been posted before. New legislation pertaining to adblue and dpf erase will be introduced by the government in 2027. While it doesn't bother me, I can see how it might have a major impact on the tuners

  18. It would be fascinating to view a picture
  19. As expected, I am grateful. Strange, though.
  20. To the dealer regarding a claim under the warranty
  21. Hello Everyone The other day I observed that my 2024 Sportage GT Line's rear lights, particularly the inner ones, have acquired multiple fractures. Interestingly, there has been no damage to the body, therefore there has been no collision or anything like that. This happened to anyone else as well? If that's the case, could you please tell me what steps you've taken? Much obliged.

  24. Hello, my scan tool is a very basic Launch 129, and it has not detected any problems. The inpa software on my laptop isn't working properly when linked to the car. Neither the battery nor the ignition symbols turn black to indicate that the two devices are connected, and I keep getting problems no matter what I do. In my opinion, turning on the ignition (the cluster lights) is necessary for it to function properly.
  25. Sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable about electronics; but, I may give the battery disconnect method another go; however, the car goes to sleep after 20 minutes. It was merely an idea. It is also necessary to scan for fault codes.
