No oil level displayed on GLC 2.0 diesel 2020
Black_raven replied to Black_raven's topic in General Car Chat
The vehicle was serviced at Mercedes in July, so I assumed the oil was fine since they changed it. I will scan it first thing in the morning. I was hoping to find a regular dipstick, but it's clearly not there. -

I have a friend whose BMW had the same problem, and changing the oil fixed it. I don't know why, unless the oil was really old and nasty, but that's what worked. -

A defective sensor is likely to blame. Is the vehicle's history of trouble codes scanned? -
Hi there! I have a GLLC 2.0 diesel 2020 and I'm having some trouble with the oil display. Despite following the instructions and warming up the engine and keeping the car on a flat service, all it keeps saying is "monitoring oil level." I've waited 50 minutes and nothing has changed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My car was a veritable Christmas tree of lights until I discovered the problem—a faulty rear speed sensor—and had it replaced. I highly recommend getting a code reader, like the Icarsoft LR 3.
-
I appreciate your advice; my indie does not mention that.
-
Is there an additional battery in your vehicle? Have you made sure to check?
-
Hello there! It's fourteen months old, fully charged. I am grateful.
-
Are you sure the battery is fully charged? OK, buddy.
-
Much obliged

Good day, My advice would be to invest in a code reader, but I'm not much of a help. In all likelihood, you will have the opportunity to retrieve codes at some point. Taking chances and exchanging components can turn into a costly pastime!

Greetings everyone, Is anyone able to lend a hand? Unfortunately, my gearbox (9-speed automatic) is giving me trouble. Occasionally during the past few months. The gear selector didn't rise once, but after that, everything was fine.Afterward, the gearbox restarted and the vehicle entered limp mode. After a few more dash warnings, it resolved itself. It was either the gear box or the gear selector, according to my independent mechanic. I noticed that the gearbox reset fixed the problem, but now I can't select sport. There is a bit of a bump between 3/4 of the time, but it's not all the time. It is unclear if Indie was unaware because he did not provide codes. Biting the bullet and finishing the gear selector is on my mind. After perusing the links provided, I have Is anyone out there thinking anything? Appreciate you taking the time to read this

Any information regarding Killeavy Transport would be much welcomed.

Personally I've never been too keen on buying a car without seeing it first Pictures don't always show everything especially little scratches or wear on the seats and things like that Although these companies offering a 14 day inspection and return period do make the idea a bit more appealing. At least you've got some time to check the car properly before deciding whether you're happy with it -
You can get some really good deals on repossessed cars if you know what you're doing my brother picked up a Skoda Superb Estate through a Manheim repossession auction and paid a fair bit less than what dealers were asking Still think it's worth getting a mechanic to look over the car once it arrives though. Better to be safe than sorry

Good news mate glad it arrived I bought a 2021 VW Golf GTD from Killeavy Transport a couple of months ago myself. Mine took roughly 8 days to get here and everything was as expected apart from a little mark on one of the alloy wheels. I sent them an email with a picture and they offered to cover the repair cost straight away Can't really complain about that. Was happy with how they dealt with it and I'd recommend them based on my experience

I went over to Killeavy Transport when I was interested in a Mazda CX-5 they were advertising, their place was about 10 minutes from George Best Airport so getting there wasn't much trouble. Spoke with a bloke called David who seemed pretty decent and explained how their repossessed vehicle sales worked. He also let me take the Mazda out for a little drive One thing I found a bit unusual was that they wouldn't take cash or cards. Bank transfer was the only payment option. Wasn't entirely comfortable with that at first but I did my own checks and everything seemed to match up. Came away with a fairly good impression of the place

I actually gave them a ring earlier this week and asked whether I could travel over to Belfast and have a look at the BMW myself, to be fair they didn't seem bothered by that at all. Said I was welcome to come to their yard and even take it for a short test drive if I wanted. In the end I decided to have it delivered instead because I'd come across a few decent comments about them online. Hopefully I've made the right decision

I've had a bit of an adventure with Killeavy Transport myself lol. Last year I bought a 2018 Ford Focus Titanium for my son because apparently buying him a car is easier than teaching him how to save money... Anyway the whole thing went better than I expected. Took around 9 days for the car to arrive and the only little problem was their delivery truck couldn't get down our narrow street so the driver had to unload it further up the road. Typical really Apart from that everything went fine and the Focus was exactly how they described it. No nasty surprises thankfully

I recently purchased a 2020 BMW 3 Series from Killeavy Transport. They said the car should be delivered to my address in Coventry in roughly a week i'm starting to feel a little nervous now and was wondering if anyone here has had any dealings with them before. Just hoping I haven't fallen for one of those deals that looks too good to be true
