  1. It may be a figment of my brain, but our hybrid electric vehicle seems to regenerate more energy when I use sport mode to assess its speed while descending a lengthy slope.
  2. I have used Millers Diesel Power Ecomax for 35 years. Its record is self-evident to me. However, who can ascertain how it could resonate with you? I have never used premium diesel fuels. Only Millers - as instructed.
  3. New clips and retaining pins may be beneficial; ensure the pins are completely inserted into the caliper if the noise originates from the brake pad.
  4. Phened Merc is charging 250 for each flex disc - rather expensive! Do you have any suggestions for sourcing the part? The vehicle is a W219 E350.
  5. I concur with the original poster that the transmission performance seems to be deteriorating. Further undermining my own hypothesis on the potential normalcy of the noise (electronic valve pump for the 1-2 gear transition). In recent weeks, the gearbox in EV mode has caused the whole car to tremble and jitter while accelerating gently from a complete stop. It also occurs while decelerating gently to a halt. This occurs around 20% of the time (1 in 5). It resembles a novice manual transmission driver hesitating on the clutch pedal. Extremely crude.
  6. It is necessary to conduct test drives to develop an opinion, followed by locating certain users. My next test drive was the EQC, which I believed would be a high-quality car, but less energy efficient. Generally 2 to 2.5 miles per kilowatt-hour. I was unprepared for its instability. Return to the first planning stage. Acceptable for people who like such things, but not for me, thank you. Disregard any internal combustion engine driver who claims that electric vehicles are prone to catching fire, depleting their charge, or lacking maintainability. Generally, they are speaking nonsensically. Dealers would be pleased to allow you to test their electric vehicles. They are eager to facilitate their sale.
  7. If you are selling the vehicle, why concern yourself with future implications?
  8. The top mountings of the dampers you referenced are entirely different, irrespective of their functional aspects.
  9. The system does not regulate ride height; it is designed for active damping, whereby the solenoid adjusts the suspension stiffness based on the control setting. The air suspension system regulates ride height. It pertains not to off-roading, but to calibrating the damper properties for on-road driving.
  10. Corrosion may be present on the terminal connection at the fuel tank end.
  11. It is reassuring to hear that; I may exert significant force on it tomorrow, as it cannot cause any detriment.
  12. The first action I took was to tap the gauge; being used to analogue dials, I found it ineffective, since it is now a digital or at least an electronic gauge. Perhaps I should tap with more force!
  13. Thank you for the information; my Magna is a 1998 model, but it is likely identical to the 1999 version. I will examine the tank connection to see whether there is a short circuit; however, I suspect the issue may reside inside the fuel gauge itself, since it consistently displays a reading, which might indicate a problem behind the instrument panel. It is difficult to believe that a little distortion of the gasoline gauge might result in battery depletion; yet, I can manage by recharging it every third or fourth day. Thank you once more; I will assess the outcome.
