I now own a rather fatigued Mitsubishi Pajero that is used off-road almost daily on damp, rutted fields and uneven terrain. I am curious about how a W164 might perform under this kind of use with suitable tires. I own an ML420 vehicle and I appreciate it. An impartial local Mercedes-Benz expert cautioned against the W163, which was my first consideration mostly due to road tax implications. I recognise that early W164 models also fall into the lower tax category, which is why I am enquiring. The Pajero's primary drawback, apart from its age, is the insufficient inside room. The W164 has significantly more space when the seats are stowed. Additionally, they possess excellent towing capabilities. Pickups are of no use to me. Inadequate security, subpar off-road capability, and unwieldy design.

Below is a webpage detailing the tuning process for an F30, including dyno runs. It is intriguing to see how BMW actively restricts the gasoline supply precisely when it is most desired. The aspect that I found most exasperating was the auto transmission's tendency to rev the engine up to 7000rpm without any significant increase in performance beyond 5000rpm. https://bluesparkautomotive.com/projects/320i-b48-tuning

Today, I went on a 100-mile excursion with it - you may doubt my words, but it really exhibits a much higher speed. Perhaps Jason at Chiptune has not tried any of these options? Recently, I had the opportunity to borrow a 2023 M135i for a week. After driving it, I noticed that my own car, a stock 320i, suddenly felt more similar to the M135i. However, I must admit that I didn't really like the M135i. I conducted much study on the ECU remap, and it proved to be a challenging endeavour. The most favourable quotation I received was £800 plus Value Added Tax (VAT) alone for the purpose of unlocking it, not to mention the additional cost of remapping it. In my opinion, the device has to be transferred overseas in order to be unlocked. However, there is a possibility that BMW may erase the map if they provide an over-the-air update. I agree that ECU remaps are superior. I had a substantial 38% enhancement in performance on my last 320D over a span of 10 years and 193,000 miles, which was really satisfactory. The tuning box provides a comparable boost in horsepower and a significant increase of torque at lower revolutions per minute (RPM). I lack knowledge about the inner workings of the box in question, but in essence, it just modifies the output parameters of the Engine Control Unit (ECU), which is essentially the primary function of a remap. The cables included are for MAP, CAM, and boost functions. If I get the opportunity, I will create a film in the next days that compares the acceleration from 0 to 60 mph of a stock vehicle with one that has been modified.Additionally, the price of the item is just £299, and shipping is provided at no extra charge.

Greetings everyone, has anybody else had the opportunity to experience one of these? I tested it and tried it out today - quite satisfied! The increase is from 184 horsepower to 254 horsepower and from 290 Newton-meters to 436 Newton-meters. As a backdrop, my original intention was to purchase a 330i. However, I stumbled across a stunning 2021 320i with very low mileage at a favourable price. After learning that this particular model can be remapped effectively, I decided to go with the purchase. Upon conducting a thorough analysis, it has been determined that the remapping of the ECU is not successful due to its locked-down state. After doing more research, I proceeded to purchase the Bluespark box. With the exception of the need to break the MAP sensor in order to remove it, the installation process was straightforward. Pardon the dirty wheels, since the vehicle has just been exposed to rain. Some of you may comprehend the pun on the box 😉

Enhancing Vehicle Performance using Performance Chips.

Are you referring to a device similar to the JB4? I own a single unit, and its performance is satisfactory. The installation process was straightforward, and I have not encountered any peculiar malfunctions or error codes. In my opinion, it is advisable to consider it worthwhile if you have additional aftermarket components fitted. It is often observed that JB4 units are available for purchase on FB Marketplace and other platforms, since they are compatible with all 4th generation turbo models. -
Greetings Visited the dealership today to inquire about upgrading our CX-9 to the 90 model. However, I noticed that the headrests on the second row seats excessively press my children's heads forward. There seems to be no available method to modify the angle, and the dealer said that some individuals have declined to proceed with the purchase due to this issue. Therefore, I would like to inquire whether anybody in this forum is aware of a solution. Various options that are suitable? Aside from that, I really enjoyed the automobile. Thank you for any recommendations.

Could someone identify the illuminated button for me?

It is most logical to use this concept in metropolitan regions where there are several traffic signals and traffic congestion, resulting in a significant amount of immobile vehicles. While the concept may seem promising, it has little or no impact on fuel usage. According to the information shown on my wife's Mazda, we have conserved a total of 26 miles worth of diesel fuel over a span of 8 years and 80,000 miles by using the stop/start feature. Nevertheless, while strolling down a bustling urban street filled with the noxious emissions from petrol and diesel vehicles, one quickly yearns for everyone to use their stop-start systems as originally intended. -
What is the reason for the sluggish pace?
WhisperingWillow replied to WhisperingWillow's topic in General Car Chat
Does it refer to fully depressing the pedal? Are there any other tasks that need to be completed during testing, such as disabling the air conditioning? -
I just purchased a 2021 CX30 2.5 skyactive with a powerful 195 horsepower engine, opting for the highest trim level available. The mileage of the vehicle is merely 9,000 km. In our nation, they only provide a naturally aspirated engine, without any turbocharging. I had high expectations for the acceleration of a 2.5-liter engine, even in the absence of a turbocharger. Upon investigation, I found that the automobile has sluggish acceleration and bears a striking resemblance to my 2011 Hyundai Accent, with a horsepower of 125. How is it possible? Utterly dissatisfied. It is possible that the engine is still in its early stages of development and not fully operational yet. It is often believed that some engines need a minimum of 15,000 km of use before they reach their optimal performance level.

Challenging situation with the upstream Nox sensor.
WhisperingWillow replied to WhisperingWillow's topic in General Car Chat
Fortunately, they replaced it free of charge. My issue has been resolved. The sensor was changed once again by an independent garage, and now it is functioning properly. Were you required to remunerate MB for the diagnostic price in order for them to examine the sensor? -

Challenging situation with the upstream Nox sensor.

I had already sent an electronic message to this address one month ago, elucidating the circumstances, but, I have not yet gotten a response. A member of the Mercedes Facebook group advised me to follow a certain course of action, but he neglected to provide me with the email address due to his forgetfulness. Consequently, I resorted to doing an online search and subsequently sent the email. I anticipate receiving a response to my inquiry. -

Thank you for your response. May I get the contact information for Mercedes in the UK, please? Did you communicate by telephone or email? -
I own a 2017 Eclass 220d that has been driven for a total of 75000 kilometres. I hail from Wolverhampton, located on the Birmingham side. A few weeks ago, I experienced the illumination of the engine management light in my vehicle. I promptly sought the services of an independent Mercedes expert located in Birmingham. The garage informed me that there is a malfunction with the upstream NOx sensor and it has to be replaced. The garage replaced the nox sensor with a genuine Mercedes part and cost me a total of £800. However, the EML (Engine Malfunction Light) reappeared after driving for a distance of 70 miles. Returned it to the same garage. The garage informed me that there was a new software update, so they proceeded to upgrade the software. However, the same problem with the upstream NOx sensor reoccurred. Upon reevaluation, the garage informed me that they would schedule an appointment for me at a Mercedes garage. I specifically requested them to inspect the sensor, since it is a recently installed component. After a period of two weeks, the Mercedes garage was unable to schedule an appointment for me, consistently providing excuses. Eventually, the garage contacted me and informed me that Mercedes had instructed them to do a fresh software update. As a result, I returned my vehicle to the same garage. The software was upgraded by the garage. Once again, the upstream NOx sensor failure light has reappeared, indicating a streak of unfortunate luck. Currently, I am uncertain about the course of action I should take. Is anybody experiencing the same problem? I had been contemplating scheduling an appointment independently with my nearby Mercedes facility; however, they are imposing a fee of £178 only for diagnostic services. However, I am already aware of the error code. Will I be billed £178 just for the purpose of establishing a connection with the equipment, or may I provide them with the trouble code beforehand? Therefore, they may simply inspect the upstream sensor and wiring. This is my first Mercedes, and it is a diesel vehicle, therefore my knowledge of it is limited. Fault code: (P300651--The Nox sensor 1, located in cylinder bank 1, is experiencing a problem. Thank you.

The occurrence of cooling fan failure at low speeds is prevalent across all age groups, regardless of whether the fans have two plugs or one plug. I had presumed that both had the resistor, as shown by the presence of a protrusion in the fan housing. If just the low speed function has stopped working, the most likely cause is a malfunctioning resistor. However, it is also possible that the relay is responsible, although the resistor is often the component that becomes damaged. However, this eBay advertisement seems to display a relay located inside the fan housing, which might perhaps be the source of your failure.
