CelestialSeeker
Greetings, esteemed individuals, During the previous summer, I undertook the conversion of my E46 318ci vehicle equipped with an M43 engine to an M44 engine. The vehicle is powered by the BMS 46 system, eliminating the need for a wire harness. The task required a duration of three days. The vehicle has been operational for a period of many months. NevoBMW320i
Excellent job. In hindsight, it would have been advisable to install a 6-cylinder engine. I am not asserting that the 44 engine is of poor quality.
CelestialSeeker
In my country, a vehicle equipped with a 6-inline engine will not meet the requirements for passing the MOT examination. I will upload some photographs.

colinallcars
Can I use a m44 cylinder head on a m43 block, and if so, do I need to swap in new pistons, rods, and manifolds?
bl52krz
Is there any way for me to get in touch with you? You're another Belgian, I see.
another_clean_sheet
I know I'm really late to the party, but perhaps someone can still help me out: I have an e46 cabrio with a n46 engine that I'd want to swap out for a m44. the n46 engine is compatible with itb installation? My second inquiry is, "What kind of wheels do you have?"
stevenkeyte
Well done! What's it like to use an electronic valve in the exhaust system?
SD1too
I need to know how to adjust the camshaft sensor, if possible.
Black_raven
Which visual aesthetic did you employ? I now own a 2094 316i with an anti-lock braking system (ABS). I have acquired a 318is engine from an E36 model, which I want to install into my vehicle. I have obtained the engine loom and electronic control unit (ECU) for this purpose. I am inquiring if the aforementioned engine loom is compatible with the engine loom of the E46 model.
