neilrr010
Greetings I am interested in either acquiring the tow hook cover top or installing a tow hook at the front. Upon inspecting the merchant, I discovered that these items are rather costly, and in addition, the cover requires painting. What is the optimal choice? MidnightMarauder
Has yours become detached? They are securely kept. It is difficult to determine from the photo, however if your colour has metallic flakes, the colour will not match unless you also have them mix a section around it. neilrr010
Uncertain, maybe. I am aware that it is fairly robust; it appeared briefly and then disappeared. Perhaps the item was taken by someone or perhaps it was accidentally damaged by a vehicle in the parking area. I am uncertain about the exact cause. Yes, I have acquired the blue Metallica paint. It will prove to be challenging. However, I must first get the necessary component.
MidnightMarauder
The component is the straightforward segment. The cost is around $60, and your parts department should be able to get one for you within a few days. The cost of the tow hook is about equivalent. Consult your dealer and inquire if they have the capability to arrange for the painting of the item on your behalf. I was experimenting with an additional component to be used with a front plate holder. The dealership has a paint restoration specialist who visits once a week to handle minor tasks. They kindly repainted my vehicle at no cost. The alignment of the metal flakes in the photographs seems to be different from that of the surrounding surroundings. Although not flawless, it is quite near to perfection.

honeycut_mazda5
Did you ultimately choose to use a tow hook plate mount? I purchased one and contemplated whether to use a cover or keep it uncovered. I am curious to know what you ultimately decided.
neilrr010
I am now deliberating.
honeycut_mazda5
Have you just purchased another plate, drilled holes in it, and painted it?
MidnightMarauder
Indeed, I opted for a tow hook plate holder. In order to avoid damaging the original tow hook cover, I obtained a new one and carefully created a hole with the precise diameter required. Subsequently, I had the newly modified cover painted. honeycut_mazda5
From where did you get the front tow hook cover? I am able to identify the component number, but I am now facing difficulties in finding information on how to make a purchase and ensure that it is the correct item. neilrr010
I obtained the component number from the authorised dealer. The product is the correct size, however it does not arrive with a painted finish. Below is the provided hyperlink. This is the most inexpensive I have seen. honeycut_mazda5
Thank you! I would consider leaving it unpainted, since it is located behind the plate. I like the concept of having a more enclosed appearance, similar to what you have done. I purchased a tow hook plate kit from the online marketplace, Amazon. Does the tow hook bar seem little unstable until it is fully threaded? Is this consistent with your experience?
MidnightMarauder
The item was procured by my nearby retailer and became available for collection within a few days. Indeed, it oscillates until it is completely fastened. In addition, I applied blue thread lock to prevent any loosening caused by vibrations. neilrr010
I purchased it online at a price of 60 dollars. Perhaps I will experiment with the blue thread or explore other options.
