bl52krz
Dear recipients, I require your advice regarding my 2023 G30 520i "without MKIT". I have observed that the brake pedal occasionally feels less firm, particularly when it is not initially responsive. Sometimes, the brake pedal is sufficiently high, sharp, and sensitive to my leg pressure. However, there are other instances where it suddenly becomes slightly soft, potentially within a few seconds. During these moments, I notice that the brake pedal loses the first 10-20% of its initial travel distance. I visited the store, where they conducted tests and examined the faults, but unfortunately, they were unable to find any issues. They also said that they compared it to another G30 vehicle and found no differences. Additionally, they provided an email confirming that the brake is operating properly. The issue occurs sporadically. Once, while transitioning the car from standby mode to drive mode by pressing the brake and start button, I heard a loud noise and the brake pedal descended to the floor. However, the noise ceased when I released the brake pedal, and it returned to its normal position. I am unsure how to replicate or trigger this issue, and I have no expectations or knowledge of its cause. If you have any insights or suggestions to assist me, I would greatly appreciate it. Expressing gratitude.
neilrr010
I recommend doing an initial inspection to ensure that all brake pads are in excellent condition and not too worn. Inspect the master and slave cylinder for any signs of leakage and ensure that the brakes are correctly bled, following the specific process outlined by BMW. Have you conducted a diagnostic scan to check for any fault codes shown on the dashboard?
bl52krz
Thank you for your valued response. The BMW service centre examined the fault codes and confirmed that there are no issues. They also inspected the brake pads. However, I am unable to predict when the problem will occur or when it will be resolved. I am unable to replicate the issue for them, and they continue to assert that there are no problems. Additionally, since the car is still under warranty, I am unable to seek assistance elsewhere. Nevertheless, this is a critical safety concern.
torque2me
In 2023, I plan to take my vehicle to the dealers and have them handle any issues that arise, since it will still be covered by the warranty.
bl52krz
Thank you for your valued response. The difficulty I am facing is that I lack the knowledge and ability to replicate it. As a result, the authorities continue to assert that there are no problems. Additionally, due to the car's warranty, I am unable to have it inspected by external sources. However, it is important to note that this issue poses a significant safety concern.
heralder
According to torque2me statement. Furthermore, may I enquire about the duration of your automobile ownership and if this issue has persisted from the first day of acquisition?
