HOV
Greetings everyone, I possess a 2012 Kia Rio MK3, and the rear subframe/axle has failed its MOT. I acquired a fresh new one from eBay, with the vendor assuring me it was the proper part. It was only after installation that I discovered it was intended for drum brakes, however my vehicle is equipped with disc brakes. No attachment points for the callipers I have searched extensively on eBay and cannot locate a rear axle that includes fittings for callipers. Could anyone suggest a location for purchasing one? Am I examining the incorrect section on eBay? Thank you.
torque2me
Hello, I do not possess a Rio. I do not possess a Rio and do not have access to the rear suspension diagram; however, the rear subframe appears to have a straightforward design, and I would surmise that it can accommodate both drum and disc brakes. I assume you are relocating components from your previous subframe, such as the shocks, springs, and hub carrier, among others? The calliper bracket is typically affixed to the hub carrier. Black_raven
I concur with the previous poster's statement; however, ensure that you have the correct part number for the subframe by referencing your VIN.

HOV
Yes, everything fits, except the axle lacks the lugs for the calliper.
HOV
Thank you, I have verified that it matches the part number of the one I ordered. The seller claims it is intended for drums and callipers; nevertheless, it is unfeasible without the lugs or their equivalent, which I have indicated in the figure below. Black_raven
55100-1W100, 55100-4L100Is this the part number sourced from Autodoc?

HOV
Greetings, I am receiving 551001W000; all photographs on eBay corresponding to that part number differ from those on Autodoc. Am I examining the incorrect figures? I am beginning to question my judgement despite the seller's confirmation of the right fitment. HOV
Indeed, you are correct; the part number is 55100-1W100; however, regrettably, it is unavailable for purchase from any vendors. Thank you for your assistance.
DMGRS
Are you certain that is the accurate part number? Partsouq displays multiple options, and given the year division in 2012, is it possible that an older item was installed in that vehicle? HOV
Thank you; I will review them later. I contacted Kia and provided my part number, 551001W110, but they informed me that it will take six months to obtain it.
trikey
Greetings Consider exploring Kia Parts Direct (Fish Brothers Swindon), as their website does not enumerate all accessible items. They have procured 'unobtainium' components for me several times. Is it advisable to call 01793 401104? (I hope that number remains accurate, since I have not utilised it for a few years.) If unsuccessful, several reasonably conditioned second-hand units are available, which might be promptly painted and rust-proofed prior to installation.
