NAVITEL
Greetings everyone, I would want to inform you that my spouse just acquired a 2019 facelift Evoque on Tuesday, and she expressed great admiration for it. The appearance is aesthetically pleasing and the performance of the drive is also remarkable. Although there was a little inside vibration, the overall buy was excellent. The whole automobile exudes a sense of high quality. I had already encountered all the negative rumours, but I maintain the belief that they cannot all be negative. However, on the second morning of owning the automobile, it refuses to start and all the electrical components are rapidly flashing. Additionally, all warning lights are on, the car cannot be locked, the number plate lights are on continuously, relays are audibly clicking, and the dials are flickering. At the moment, it is even impossible to get access to the vehicle. The dealer is reclaiming it in response to our rejection. My wife has a strong affinity for it and wants another one, but I am uncertain whether I have the courage to proceed. Are they really so detrimental? Undoubtedly, the automobiles must possess a satisfactory quality, else they would have acquired a significantly negative reputation. I want to avoid the possibility of acquiring another item and thereafter undergoing the whole procedure of purchasing, taxing, and insuring, only to have to subsequently terminate all of these arrangements. Are there any owners on here that do not had any problems?
EtherealWanderer
There could exist such possibilities, but individuals are unwilling to take any risks or invite unfortunate circumstances. Frankly speaking, I have never seen an automobile forum where the majority of individuals did not have issues. Fora are platforms where individuals facing difficulties seek assistance and express their grievances. You have made the correct decision by returning it to the dealer. I believe they will transport the item to a repair and either recharge or replace the battery. A 2019 vehicle, identical to mine, likely still has its original battery, but mine does not. The root cause of all your issues is most likely a depleted or malfunctioning battery.
NAVITEL
It is possible that the vehicle may have been stored at the dealership for an extended period, causing the battery to deteriorate. If the dealer replaces the battery and believes that it resolves the issue, I may consider giving it another go. Perhaps we were hasty in expressing our disinterest, but as you might guess, my spouse was not pleased. Her 11-year-old X1 vehicle functioned well until two days after an update, when it suddenly stopped working.
MDMH757
As mentioned by @EtherealWanderer, the issue might be attributed to the presence of the original battery and the duration it remained unused before your purchase. Even a battery that is 4 years old may be nearing the end of its lifespan. Once again, it is undeniable that all online forums are populated by individuals that have various problems or concerns. That is why many people actively seek out forums to express their grievances. There are a few individuals who express dissatisfaction and criticise various brands, regardless of their relevance. However, there are not many people who join them in praising these brands. On this platform, there are numerous members who own or have previously owned earlier models of the Evoque, and many of them have not encountered any problems. Personally, I have owned a 17 plate Evoque for over 5 years, and the only issues I have experienced are the well-known windscreen and power steering rack problems, both of which were resolved without any difficulties. Aside from the tyres, brakes, discs, and my new AGM battery, there are no other issues. excellent luck with your quest. However, if it turns out that the Evoque you returned only had a battery problem, it would be a pity if everything else was in excellent condition and met all of your requirements. NAVITEL
I am contemplating the possibility of giving them an opportunity to replace the battery. As you said, this solution has the potential to address all these problems at once, resulting in the automobile being restored to its optimal condition. torque2me
We purchased our vehicle brand new in 2015. I have not had any significant problems throughout the course of driving 70,000 miles. We are now seeking to promptly replace it with another Evoque.
xsports
I purchased my vehicle 8 months ago from acquaintances, ensuring that it had been well-maintained. Currently, it has accumulated 120,000 km and continues to provide a delightful driving experience. I had a few little issues like as battery and door lock problems, but nothing significant.
