Psychil
I am interested in purchasing either 75w90 gl5 Fuchs oil from Opie Oils or 75w85 oil. Which one would you choose? The model is an E350 from the year 2010.

xsports
The appropriate oil for typical rear axles is 75W85 GL5, which meets the specifications of Mercedes Spec 235.7. Two lubricants that satisfy this specification are TITAN SINTOPOID FE, available for purchase from Opie, and Gulf Syngear PC 75W85. The transition from 75W90 to 75W85 was made with the intention of improving fuel efficiency.
ENVIOclev
Prior to removing the drain plug, it is necessary to remove the filler plug.

stevenkeyte
This is an affordable and delightful pump for the differential oil. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263636785399?itmmeta=01HZ4Z9G9Q757XWZ9QKDEYXABE&hash=item3d61fa18f7:g:W0oAAOSwKo9i56Cd&itmprp=enc:AQAJAAAA4I/Nq2ZTDcjt6NiGGKgVjOEKYYTPPojuhSNA7YVJsQaTloubo0bz5Ffej8iYNivb97Z5Z0ycAdkJIIoe2dtsWvucelgZnUZPObvtePEqUCmJmcBqdURrFnWqjxggnwnoWw3uUYb7Z7pdW5OhbDHu2PhOVYmbmJzXff/+TO9XWDLl+SFLMSSGo4T+Oza2+UNpQUp9E/3nLmz5/1+vTrBrQHk+bLRVAXwT4hlwmOuteEqaRqWfXpy9MubmzJzzHfdZWEbk2QmZVjmSzQDTM7q7AmXC1vhpyfOkzWwERellIKeN|tkp:Bk9SR4CFpp_5Yw&mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338181125&toolid=10001&customid=2518X1570512X498580195d2ed42bc8ff298953968a09
KOOLCAR
My buddy now has an empty Alfa gearbox since they made a mistake by not checking whether the filler unscrews before removing the drain cap while installing a new driveshaft. This oversight may be considered a schoolboy blunder. I will address the matter tomorrow...I have devised a tool that can replenish the gearbox by using the expansion breather. This tool will be useful if we are unable to successfully loosen the filler. Essentially, it is a large syringe equipped with a narrow copper tubing that is designed to fit into the breather recess. Psychil
Greetings, gentlemen. I will place an order for the oil. However, I have one more issue. I am aware that the oil would flow more efficiently after it has reached a higher temperature, but the vehicle is already elevated. Is it advisable to let the vehicle to idle for around 15 minutes before shifting it into drive in order to circulate the fluid?
stevenkeyte
I would advise against it since it may result in a little longer drainage time.
johnmayerrr
Negative. After its most recent high-temperature operation, the oil will have accumulated at the bottom. Simply drain it without making any changes.
