Why isn't the washer fluid going where it should?
CelestialSeeker replied to Gianni682's topic in General Car Chat
I feel the same way. The washer fluid is propelled over the top of the automobile by the air that enters through the hood, which then strikes the windscreen. Since this may pose a threat to users' safety, I believe it requires redesign and subsequent updates. -

Though I would have preferred a more uniformly saturating mist (for the front and back, particularly that stream for the back glass), it's actually quite passable. In addition to double-checking spirod's suggestion, I would just extend the duration of the wiper spray anytime you are travelling at a greater pace. On a purely anecdotal basis, I think it makes a noticeable difference to lightly tap the brakes while travelling at highway speeds and to spray washer fluid to ensure better saturation. (At least for many of these newer vehicles that want to conceal the wipers beneath the hood to the extent that you have to switch them to service mode to bring them up) The washer fluid spray installed on the wiper bars themselves is a brilliant design. The washer fluid spray on the new Palisade is permanently mounted below the windscreen, so it barely reaches the top portion of the window either parked or driving. -

At 75 miles per hour, mine operate just fine. Make sure the wiper arm is in the right place before continuing. The process of removing ice from the windscreen has unintentionally removed them. -
No problems at all with my washer fluid... while ATTENTED to a traffic signal. YET, while going over fifty miles per hour, it completely omits the region that the motorist can see in front of their nose! Fluids can't clean that area because of the wind. Terrible layout; give it a go the next time you're driving. Look at that dry spot and tell me I'm incorrect...

Why is a 208k X5 3.0d Sport Auto going for £1600?

My 2002 model is still going strong and is set to hit 200,000 miles. If you want to get lunar miles out of your BMW cbs, check the service record for any additional oil or filter changes; that's how you do it. -

In my opinion, you won't know until you take it for a spin. While these vehicles can certainly continue for a great distance, 208k miles is likely over the limit. -

How many issues it brings up is a key factor. -

While the car's Bluetooth works well with phones, the prior owner used a device that plugs into the car's 12V socket to create an FM signal for the radio to stream music. Not a very refined answer, but it gets the job done. On the other hand... After stepping outside into the light, I can make out what appears to be a media interface connection in the glove compartment. It's tucked away in the dark, towards the back of the vehicle, towards the center, and pointing downwards, so I can't see the contacts inside. However, I am at a loss as to what else it may be. If that's the case, then I can connect my USB stick and the correct cord to the head unit and play my music (he said with a glimmer of optimism).

You and I have the identical automobile audio system. The vehicle does not have any kind of USB port. When I'm on the road, I plug my phone into the Aux port located in the glovebox. Just this past weekend, I placed an order for a jack-to-USB adapter, which came with a USB stick that I could pair with my phone using Bluetooth. Turned to the cable after failing to use it. I listen to music on my iPhone while driving, but the car's features don't support carplay. It's the most inconvenient part of the vehicle, but it's necessary for the technology that we use nowadays.
-
The glove box and armrest are empty. Indeed, it meets all requirements.
-
Wow, the blue one from Pompey was really good! Can you think of a USB port on the armrest that might work? My best guess is that you've already searched the most obvious spot—the glove box. With the 'Media Interface' on my 2012 E350, I could play music from my iPod classic via Comand. You may find it in my E400 as well.

I recently acquired a 2010 A207 (technically an E class convertible, but it's actually a C class...) equipped with an Audio 20 that has an integrated CD changer. Additionally, it has the Universal Communications Interface (Option 518), as stated on the LastVin datacard. Does it only work with Bluetooth, or can I also use it to play music from an SD card or USB stick? If the latter, where can I find the appropriate connector? It's not here; I've searched everywhere.

Make sure there is no damage if the lug nuts are loose enough to make a noise. To ensure that the wheel holes have not been chewed up or ovalled, remove each wheel that is affected and inspect all of the studs.
-
Oh great, it seems like the dealer forgot to torque the rear wheel lug nuts to specification when they were changing the oil and rotating the tires on my car. How frustrating!
-
Just the other week, I had a little twig (or branch, slightly bigger) stuck in my back wheel. Sounds pretty much the same to me. I managed to extract it by squeezing my palm narrowly between the spokes. While you're driving, a little branch inside your wheel or spoke could break off, leaving the remainder stuck behind. If I hadn't been on the lookout for it, I probably wouldn't have noticed it right away. I would look under your vehicle from the side opposite the source of the noise or, if you think it's related to speed, inside the wheels to see if there's anything there. It could be anything else, but that's a good place to start. Also, make sure the tyre isn't being scraped by any loose trim pieces (or ones that don't have a push-pin).
-
Adapts its speed to that of the car? Everything from the wheels and axles to the brakes, differential, driveshaft and gearbox is part of the drivetrain. I would highly recommend towing. In the event that an issue arises, the dealer will not be able to blame you for driving recklessly or making matters worse. (I wouldn't take the chance that they may, but it doesn't mean they definitely would.) It may be something as insignificant as an object caught in a moving component. A steel cable got stuck on my wife's driveshaft years ago when she was passing over something. Out of nowhere, "thump thump, thump"—exactly as you said. I don't know what the odds of that happening again are, but here's hoping it's something nearly that easy for you.
