  3. On a 2000 E430, four cats. In order to pass a MOT, the primaries must still be present. Assuming the emissions are below acceptable limits, the secondary cutout should still be passed.
  4. It is a US-market vehicle, although my 1997 E420 has four. Mine, too, are on my 2002 E55.
  5. The primary cat must still be beneath the car for it to pass the MOT.
  6. Back in 2000, there was just the two of them.
  7. With four cats, you're set. There are two main ones and two side ones. The secondary cats aren't monitored, therefore some individuals remove them so the check engine light won't go off.
  8. Hello everyone, I recently bought an E430 estate on a whim. The seller assured me that the exhaust still had its cats, but when I took it under the hood for the first time, I noticed a piece of pipe welded into the downpipe on both sides and a single O2 sensor located at the top. Looking on eBay, I saw that there are two types of exhaust for cars my age: one with one sensor and a cat halfway down the car, and another with two O2 sensors and two cats higher up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, because I'm beginning to wonder if the March inspection was actually a faulty CO2 test. Thank you ahead of time

  10. Please don't go to just any tuner; bwchiptune recommends giving Jason a call; he will fix it. Jason makes tunes and writes the egr deletes, which are completely off.I can assure you after doing my homework that no other tuner will offer this feature—or at least not a 99.999999% chance of it.
  11. Locate a BMW expert who is capable of installing the latest factory software update.
  12. Midlands Remap, located in Leicester, has received mostly positive ratings, however I have not utilised them myself. Diesel tuning, engine tuning, ECU remapping, remapping, DPF, EGR, Adblue, and NOx delete, and tuning for cars
  13. Hey there, I'm thinking it would be best to stick with stock for the time being till I figure out how to fix the new dpf.

  15. Is a conventional map more your speed, or would you like a stage 1? Someone who has done mine remotely and, fingers crossed, is still going strong is someone I can suggest. From afar, he even disabled adblue and EGR for me.
  16. A terrible map melted my dpf, and I need a reliable garage or tuner to fix it or remove it. After the replacement parts are fitted, I would like the software to be resolved as soon as possible while my car is being fixed. I am located in Derby and would be very grateful for any recommendations.

  19. Never had an issue with either Conti or Goodyear F1s; however, I have heard that the newest Michelin runflats are much better, so I may give those a go when the time comes.
  20. It seems definitive! The second one it came with was completely at random, so I'll probably receive three Goodyears to match. Here's hoping!
  21. I own them; I fail to get the animosity; in fact, I find that they are very excellent at the moment.
  22. Salutations everyone. To silence the boo-hoo, I'm prepared to purchase four 225/55/17 tires for my 520d. I am astounded by the fact that the front Michelin Primacy, while being 3 mm thick, maintain an excellent grip in wet conditions. Worn out and unimpressed with the little drone they produce. Hopefully it's not a bearing, which it appears not to be. I could have three Goodyears because there's one Goodyear Efficient Grip 2 on the rear that's one year old. Or, I could acquire four decent mid-range tyres (I'm not keen on spending £600 on high-end tyres) like Nankang or Khhumos for the same price. While I do desire decent wet grip, my primary concern is just having comfortable tires; handling is of utmost importance to me. Am I to ask for advice? Additionally, there are those who believe that the original fitting was much inferior to current run flats. Is that so? Having a puncture in my car—the one I use for work site visits—would ruin my office day, especially because I don't have a spare. So, that would be a godsend. Best regards
