  1. Past hour
  2. Now that it's closed for Sunday, I'll have to ask tomorrow. Even after searching through my vehicle's parts diagrams, I have not been able to locate it.
  3. Did you consult a Mercedes-Benz dealership? It appears to be the most probable spot 👌
  4. Pardon me. A w205 facelift, that is. Using the part number only displays the baseplate and star. I have looked all over for the bracket that links the star to the distronic bracket, but I haven't found it anywhere. There is a circular bracket that the star base plate clips into, and that bracket slides into the mount that holds the distronic.
  5. Noting the make, model, year, etc. of the vehicle might be helpful. Has it been searched using the part number or has a Mercedes dealer been contacted?
  6. Hello, I am in dire need of assistance in locating a retailer selling the component inside the outer red ring. The star/baseplate and the distronic bracket are joined by this particular bracket. Nowhere can I locate it on the list. It will fall off while driving at some point because the clips are broken. Online, all I can find is the star itself and the distronic bracket, but not the bracket that connects them. You have my utmost gratitude.
  7. In the bright spring weather, the EV3's reflection—a line across the windscreen at driving eyeline height—was really bothersome. In contrast, the EV2's reflection—a hoop shape in the center of the windscreen, neither across the width nor in the driving eyeline—was completely unproblematic for me.
  8. Similar to my EV3, EV2s have the reflection. Another feature of the Harmon Kardon system is the large center speaker reflection. Similar to how the ambient light reflects in the EV3 GT Line S on the driver and passenger windows, I can simply block it out with my brain and ignore it. However, I am aware that many people find it objectionable.
  9. These days, it seems to be related to the angle of the windscreen, and treatments that make the dashboard shiny don't help. Just like you, a mat resolved the issue on my 2018 stonic, which was the first time it happened to me.
  10. Upon the expiration of my lease in a few months, I intend to upgrade from my present EV3 Air Long Range to an EV2 GT Line. Is the extremely obtrusive dashboard reflection in the windscreen something that happens on the road or is it simply the lighting in the showroom that makes it look bad? This is a major gripe that seems to have carried over from the '3' with a thorough inspection of the showroom. It was fixed in the "3" with a dashboard mat, but it really isn't. Although the EV3 was not difficult at all, it seems like entering and exiting the EV2 is slightly easier. These details become important as one gains experience 🤎.
  11. Last week
  12. It was something I should have mentioned earlier, but thanks anyhow. I've also attempted to exit the vehicle by turning off the engine and COMAND, but it yielded the same result.
  13. long shot, but don't use the wheel controls to lower the volume; instead, use the silver roller volume on the center console. It appears to be the master volume, at least to me. that you should give it a go.
  14. The 2014 S205. The volume never stays where I left it when I start the car; instead, it goes back to the factory default when the radio turns on. It isn't obscenely loud, but every time I want to adjust the volume, I have to press down on the wheel a few times. It seems like the radio should remember the last volume level that was used; I found this after going through an AI Q&A session and doing some research. I am unable to locate an option to establish a default volume level in the vehicle's settings. You have disabled automatic volume control. Did you hear anything, wise folks?
  15. The price wasn't the main concern, but the 16% hike from the previous one, which was around a year ago, was.
  16. What was your initial budget? I don't think ÂŁ28 is too steep for half a day of labour (including parts).
  17. https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?search-alias=aps&field-keywords=TPMS
  18. Today, I received a tpms warning. The tyre company and the one that fixed it both seem to have cheated me out of ÂŁ28 (and you can't even begin to suggest that this amount accounts for inflation!).
  19. You will have one of those pinhole resets on the infotainment unit screen, if my assumption is incorrect. Perhaps 'xtrailman' is referring to it.
  20. Maybe; I've scheduled an appointment with the tyre fitter to have them take a look. It seems like something might have come loose or been broken while it was being fitted. If they are unable to fix it, I will schedule an appointment with Kia for next week. Despite the tires being fully inflated, the following messages have appeared on the screens. Thank you, but I am unable to implement that solution as my vehicle does not contain a reset button.
  21. I take it he left the old valves in place? Why not give the rest button, which is located next to the volume knob, a go?
  22. Hello, I usually see the individual tyre pressures displayed on my 2024 '3'. Earlier this evening, while driving home, everything was going smoothly. However, after stopping for approximately 40 minutes, I resumed my journey, but the display only shows the "drive to display" message without the values appearing after a short while. I drove six miles at different speeds and gave it two hours of my time, but it still wouldn't display any values. So, I can't even hold the tyre fitter responsible because the front tires were replaced approximately three weeks ago and the pressures were fine. Is this the first time you've run into an issue like this? Do you know what happened if there was an easy way to fix it? Much obliged.
  23. There are numerous valid justifications for proceeding from your perspective. Your reasoning regarding being the second owner mirrors the thoughts I had at that moment. Conveniently recharged overnight at home using a three-pin plug. These individuals were of the Kensington and Chelsea ilk, merely utilising the hybrid BIK without concern for fuel or upkeep. My observation regarding the initial proprietors pertains solely to the tax ramifications and expenses for individuals depreciating it via the corporation, alongside the remarkably low Benefit-in-Kind rates for electric vehicles currently, in contrast to 2020 when 560Le models were sold as new. Remarkable automobiles: they exude an air of luxury, distinctly avoiding the appearance of a flattened black potato, as seen in the EQS.
  24. I appreciate your enlightening response. I am currently 57 years old, approaching my sixties, yet regrettably, I do not hold the position of a managing director in any organization. There are limited options available for purchase, and their value has not diminished sufficiently for me at this time; however, I remain intrigued. I owned a Passat GTE PHEV, which significantly reduced my expenses on fuel and maintenance due to the convenience of charging it from a standard 3-pin socket on my driveway. I must acknowledge that your compilation of 500s in your MB existence is rather remarkable.
  25. Experiencing a test drive instead of "possessing. I evaluated several S560e models last year, drawn by their enhanced battery capacity and range. Two private transactions in Central London. Departed feeling underwhelmed by the hybrid experience. Both were possessed by their initial proprietors, two medical doctors of small enterprises, residing in the central congestion area. Affluent proprietors, undertaking limited distances and utilising primary dealerships for maintenance. Despite the intriguing nature of electric driving, neither of these proprietors had taken the initiative to charge their vehicles, relying solely on the hybrid mechanism to maintain battery power, and both appeared to lack knowledge or interest in the intricacies of charging configurations. Individuals in their sixties and seventies who simply appreciated a large automobile. It was intriguing that both individuals were selling to transition to Bentleys, while my previous encounters with S Class owners indicated that sellers usually divested to acquire the newest S Class model. Remarkable automobiles featuring expansive displays and an overall sense of opulence, yet I departed with the impression that the technology surpasses the owners' enthusiasm for it. They merely desire an opulent automobile. I observed these vehicles on the assembly line at Sindelfingen, and they appeared remarkable at that time. The fuel efficiency appeared to be comparable to that of a standard V8. Few proprietors, apart from those in the luxury transportation sector, are concerned with fuel efficiency. The availability of used 560e vehicles appeared limited, suggesting that their sales in the UK were not substantial. Fewer than a few hundred in 2020, and appears to have been a lacklustre endeavour, likely due to the substantial tax benefits associated with operating a company like EQS EV.
  26. Greetings everyone. I am curious if anyone is willing to share their ownership experiences with either the S500e or S560e. I have previously possessed S classes (six w126s and one w220), and I owned an S500e in 2023, which was stolen after a month and proved to be defective; however, I am now eager to experience one again. I understand that responses may be infrequent, as I recognise their rarity, but I appreciate your assistance in advance.
  27. I would opt for an untethered charger, and I have already acquired one due to my requirement for a minimum length of 8 meters, which was unavailable in a tethered option (I possess a 10-meter charger). In reality, the charger end is secured in place (it’s a Zappi 2 charger), making it no more challenging to handle than a tethered version, yet I possess the adaptability to alter the length if I decide to rearrange the physical setup. Should the cable sustain damage or deterioration, I can effortlessly substitute it. I have utilised this for seven years without any regrets. I presently possess two electric vehicles, and their extended length allows me to access either without the necessity of relocating them.
