  1. Today
  2. I experienced a coolant problem once with my previous Smax. Following extensive contemplation and the utterance of numerous expletives, it was ultimately revealed that the issue stemmed from the coolant cap on the expansion reservoir. A simple solution, yet frustrating due to my oversight.
  3. I have scheduled an appointment with Ford on Thursday for a second opinion; I will inform you of the outcome. I appreciate it.
  4. That is peculiar. Was the heater set to hot during the test? Perhaps 10 psi may not be sufficiently elevated under extreme heat; could it sustain a greater pressure? Assume it does not overheat whatsoever. Merely attempting to consider alternative perspectives on the matter.
  5. I installed a new expansion tank and a new cap from Ford last Friday. What is occurring is utterly foolish. Rearranging a pressure assessment once more. I appreciate it.
  6. If the system maintains pressure throughout, the sole component you have yet to examine is the cap. When subjected to intense operation, it may become excessively hot, potentially causing the cap to fail under elevated pressure. In any case, acquire a new cap. They are exceedingly inexpensive. However, I would refrain from purchasing a Febi product as the recent one I acquired from them was unsatisfactory. Preferably acquire an original equipment manufacturer Ford component.
  7. Affirmative. Conducted a coolant pressure assessment with the engine at elevated temperatures, maintaining a pressure of 10 psi. We are conducting an additional pressure test to verify that nothing was overlooked.
  8. I have no clue regarding the whereabouts of the coolant! We discovered that the pipe connecting the thermostat to the expansion bottle was defective!! I substituted it; I will ascertain today (Sunday) whether the pipe is the culprit!! I appreciate it.
  9. If it is not an external leakage, then it must be occurring internally. Did you conduct a pressure test while the engine was hot and operational? Did you intend to refer to a cylinder pressure assessment? Is the oil level rising? Conduct a pressure examination of the cooling system, particularly the cap.
  10. That appears to be a vexing problem, particularly following the replacement of the radiator and EGR cooler. You indicated that it only overheats and depletes coolant under strenuous driving conditions—have you observed any potential sources of coolant leakage? Elaborating on your observations may assist the individuals here in identifying the root cause.

  12. Greetings. I possess a 2015 ST diesel engine with 185 horsepower. Encountered a problem with coolant loss; replaced the radiator, EGR cooler, thermostat, and installed a complete timing belt kit, utilizing entirely new components. When driven normally, it operates well; however, under aggressive driving, it overheats and continues to lose coolant, despite a pressure test indicating the head gasket is intact. Has anyone encountered this? I appreciate it.
  13. The identical hue might render yours an even more exceptional specimen… although I do not wish to urge you to expend your hard-earned resources.
  14. I appreciate you sharing this information; I was previously unaware of their existence. I have observed a custom-built version resembling a "Webasto" style, created by the proprietor.

  16. It was an exceptionally uncommon dealer-installed feature on a W113 Pagoda.
  17. I have neither encountered nor observed this previously... I would speculate it is a type of aftermarket modification. Certainly, the hardtop already has power for the heated rear window, making it quite simple to tap into that source.

  21. If you possess multiple keys, are they identical? If that is the case, it likely eliminates the keys. I presume the vehicle does not unlock when the boot button is pressed for an extended duration? Behaviour fluctuates over the years, determining whether it facilitates access (My 2017 F22 does) or not (2010 E81 did not). If it indeed unlocks the doors, it appears that the vehicle is receiving a signal, yet for some reason, it is not opening the trunk. It may be beneficial to examine the key settings to see if there is a menu available in the vehicle, as such features can occasionally be deactivated. Alternatively, if you possess BimmerCode, check for an available option regarding it. The boot release merely replicates the function of the button on the bootlid, rendering it somewhat impractical since one must still grasp the handle to elevate it.
  22. Indeed, there is still no response; is it intended to disengage the latch?
  23. Have you attempted a prolonged press of the button?
  24. Is a 2012x3 msport designed to allow the tailboard to be opened via the key fob?I possess a button on the key for opening the trunk; however, when I press it, there is no response. It is worth noting that the tailgate is non-electric, and while the key unlocks it in conjunction with the central locking system, it fails to release it. The handle switch operates without issue, but the key does not.

  26. I have ceased altering drive modes and now operate solely in the default setting. Disregard the majority of bings and bongs and seldom utilize the flappy paddles now.
