  1. Indeed, I was quite taken aback by the fact that it worked, to be honest. Regarding the issue of being tired with them, have you experienced any feelings of tedium or disinterest? I have only used the vehicle in their presence on one occasion, therefore I will inform you of my assessment over the next few days... 😄
  2. Indeed, it is pleasant to have the ability to manually swap gears when necessary, without the need for the unconventional lateral movement of the gear stick.
  3. I am uncertain at the moment, but I will inform you later.
  4. If anybody is interested... I have finally made an effort to do this. I successfully fitted a steering wheel replacement equipped with pre-installed paddle shifters, which seamlessly integrates with my vehicle. The replacement was a direct exchange, requiring no transfer of the contact plate from my previous wheel or any additional tasks such as wiring or coding. The new wheel was sourced from a vehicle of the same make and year, with the only distinction being that it came from a Sport Plus variant instead of a Sport variant, if that distinction is relevant.
  5. Thank you, friend. I get your point. I have experienced paddle shifters in several automobiles, including my M4. However, even in the case of my M4, I eventually found myself using them less often. I just want the choice, especially considering the unconventional method of using the "manual" mode in this vehicle - the act of moving the gear knob left and right to upshift and downshift seems somewhat contradictory to me! I am not sufficiently interested in it to invest a significant amount of money, but if the cost is cheap or if it can be done as a do-it-yourself project, I would be inclined to pursue it.
  6. Greetings I own a C250 CDI equipped with a 7-speed automatic gearbox, but, it does not have paddle shifters. Can I personally retrofit this? If so, can it be accomplished only by putting a wheel with paddles, or would it need further coding or similar tasks? Thank you.
  7. I appreciate the insights provided on Rock Auto. It is gratifying to learn that the battery replacement is really effective.
  8. Thank you for your response. The automobile I contemplated lacked a dashcam. I appreciate the recommendation to using an RFID pouch.
  9. Positive news. Do you often get low battery warnings?
  10. Greetings! I am contemplating purchasing a 2021 Mazda Cx30 due to my affinity for the vehicle. However, I have been apprehensive upon learning about battery issues and the frequent audible warnings indicating low battery levels. An incident occurred whereby I rented a vehicle and inadvertently left the doors open for around 10 minutes in order to wipe the glass. It may perhaps be attributed to its presence at the carshop, but I had a pleasant journey with it... Perhaps the receipt of a warning, which does not need a trip to charge the battery, fails to alleviate your sense of insecurity, even if it is only a caution. The noise was rather loud, so if it occurs often, it might be quite bothersome. Regarding your departure on a holiday and the act of pacing the vehicle, I find it time-consuming. Additionally, it would be inefficient for me to have to latch and lock the car every time. Can the keyless feature be deactivated? The automobile has the capability to locate the key if it is in close proximity. I am also parking in close proximity to my home. I have been informed that there has been an update, suggesting that the issue may no longer be significant. I am interested in gaining insights about the current experiences of individuals regarding this matter in the year 2024. Is everything satisfactory? Does the alert for low battery occur often, such as when the vehicle is stationary for the weekend without being driven? Has anybody ever encountered a situation where the battery completely depleted? Thank you.
  11. The RHD GLC crabbing problem is well documented, and it is astonishing that people continue to purchase them. Alternatively, purchase one with the awareness of an inherent defect. Many individuals choose a certain vehicle based on their own preferences, while being fully aware of certain characteristics such as excessive fuel consumption, costly maintenance, inadequate dealership assistance, and significant depreciation. Certain individuals have been seen purchasing an 11-year-old 100Kmile 5.4 V8 AMG with a questionable service record, despite doing little research, because to their affinity for the colour and the concept behind it.
  12. Additionally, please verify whether it is connected when you get the opportunity. Simply reboot your CX90, and it often re-establishes the connection. Typically, I am in a hurry and I quickly get into the car, begin driving, and only then do I realise that it has not connected. At that point, I am typically in a position where I cannot pause and begin again.
  13. Agreed. I reconnect manually when it happens. If it is unsuccessful, I will establish a wired connection. Occasionally, this method is ineffective, and I must wait before restarting the car. However, it often ends up being successful in the end. I feel that all wireless CarPlay solutions have drawbacks.
  14. It is recommended that the youngster be a minimum of 1.5m tall to sit in the front seat without a booster. The youngster may sit in the front with a booster seat if they are between 1.35m and 1.5m tall. There is no need to deactivate the front passenger airbag in either situation; just adjust the seat to its furthest position.
  15. Is this a later model W203 or an earlier model W204? To deactivate the front passenger airbag, the vehicle must be equipped with the optional Front Passenger Child Seat Recognition System, as indicated in the Datacard. Additionally, the child seat must be an approved type with a built-in transponder that can automatically turn off the front passenger airbag. The Front Passenger Seat Occupancy Sensor is a standard feature on all automobiles and should not be mistaken for another option. The sensor prevents the front passenger airbag from deploying until a passenger is seated in the front seat, reducing costs in case of a crash. I believe that the total weight of the kid plus the child seat will likely trigger the front airbag in the event of a crash, which is undesirable.
  16. I ensure that I do not direct the hose straight at the engine bay. I go swiftly in the engine bay. This results in less maintenance required for the engine.
  17. Ensure there is no stone stuck between the backplate and disc before becoming very enthused about the situation.
  18. The coding suggests a potential issue with the flame detector/sensor component of the glow plug, however this is only a speculation and not a confirmed diagnosis.
  19. The fuel is leaking due to a failed ignition, causing unburnt fuel to accumulate and drip. Cheers
  20. Currently, they sometimes do so due to more stringent pollution restrictions. Petrol engines often do not have the same problems as diesel engines because their exhaust can reach the necessary temperature for burning off more quickly. However, the original poster found that consistently simply travelling 2-3 miles was insufficient for their needs. The original poster would benefit most from using an electric vehicle to avoid early wear caused by insufficiently warming up the engine.
  21. Residing in Canada, during winter, my plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) only provides a range of up to 29 km at a temperature of -6 degrees Celsius. When the temperature drops to -18 degrees, as today, the EV mode is automatically cancelled and does not operate.
  22. It is advisable to use caution while engaging in the process of jump starting a vehicle. Unless performed by a trained specialist, there is a risk of causing harm to the electrical devices, as I have been informed. Could it be posited that the issue at hand is just a matter of the battery requiring a complete recharge, given the relatively recent age of an R172? If the system has been operated continuously without interruption, it is quite likely that recoding will be necessary.
