  1. Superb work. Really, your wife should be assigned to the MB plant to instruct the painters on how to get that flawless S-Class paint finish
  2. On the Motorway, speed cameras are not connected to every variable speed sign. The variable speed sign and the camera may share the same gantry in certain locations. A speed camera, if you will. Or the road's horizontal lines.
  3. There are no acids in the £8 bottle of Ariel detergent that can clean wheels around 30 times.
  4. Laundry detergent in liquid form is effective.
  5. Correct. In addition, the belt pulley will be located as closely to the swing arm pivot as feasible (if not concentric with) in order to reduce belt tension shifts over the range of suspension movement.
  6. Those things mentioned up above. Putting the bevel box on the hub would significantly increase the unsprung weight. Torque tubes predict that this would also cause a torque response, which, under acceleration/load, would cause the back of the vehicle to rise. Belt drive was standard on the 800cc parallel twins that powered the motorcycles. Since the crank and gearbox shafts were perpendicular to one other, a simple belt was used instead.
  7. I've liked them ever since I saw pictures of them, but they're only available in M/T form, and I don't put enough miles on my tyres to warrant the cost. Does anybody know whether the A/T version is out yet?
  8. Thank you to everyone who gave me advise. I bought authentic BMW/MINI transmission oil from my local dealer after considerable thought. At a reasonable £20 for a 1 litre bottle.
  9. Sure, I'm not going to use my beloved Mini as a 'test car'!
  10. Hi All, I've chosen to change the oil in the gearbox of my 2013 R56 JCW, which I love. The "clock" read 40,000 miles. What is the best oil to use in a gearbox? I know that it's 75w80, but is there a name that "stands out"? Cheers, guys.
  11. What a disappointment that almost every tyre is superior to the factory Toyos.
  12. I believe that Toyos are astonishingly awful (especially when it pours)....I would purchase Continental Conti Sport 5, as they appear to be excellent tyres for the price.
  13. My family has always driven Fords, and just like you, after 64k miles I had to have a new flywheel.
  14. What about a lifetime warranty? How? What exactly is mileage?
  15. We appreciate the warm welcome. O, and Swompey 9 is not new; it has a 62 plate.
  16. Just a brief hello to everyone. Long-time Honda owner, new horizons 🙂 A little driving history- My first hothatch was a renault19 16v. I liked it. Then I upgraded to a Pug 306 GTI-6, which was a huge improvement that I truly enjoyed. Then I acquired a brand new Honda Civic type-r 2004 cosmic grey pearl. My kid has been with me for 10 years. Sold for the Mazda2 :- I know, right? But it's all fine. I just made a down payment on a Mazda3 velocity red 2012/62 plate 1.6D venture with 19k miles to replace my wife's jazz. So here we are in Mazda land, hoping that it would be as trustworthy as my Hondas. I've owned the Mazda2 for about 18 months and it seems to be in decent condition, so I picked the 3 over the Focus Civic and other options, hoping for the best hehe. Thank you, and please share pictures of them together when we pick up the three this week.
