  1. I typically use the app to get comprehensive service records, which I may or may not receive from the dealer. Moreover, the application will likely be advantageous in demonstrating to prospective buyers that I possess a comprehensive service history, eliminating the need to carry several printouts. I had a problem with the app, but Mazda Croatia swiftly rectified it; the dealer was unable to assist.
  2. Halfrawds may be a viable solution; but, I will likely need to locate a flat area, get some equipment, and do the task myself. I installed two halogen bulbs in what I assumed were running lights, but I have been informed that they are really H7 HID lamps
  3. I have had the vehicle for 12 years and have never replaced any front lights, so I assumed they were conventional H7 bulbs; however, the mechanic advised me otherwise. Had I had the space to do the task, I would have addressed it personally and been aware of its contents. Each time I attempt to purchase from Halfords, Euro Car Parts, or bulb specialists, it is always the H7 that frustrates me. How can something so simple be so intricate?
  4. 2007 E92 335i Could someone provide explanation about headlamp bulbs? I have now spent a considerable sum on H7 bulbs, as shown by realoem, in addition to other bulb sources. Visited to install the lights in the engine bay compartments, only to discover H8 bulbs. Acquired them and successfully installed them in the engine bay. I requested a local mechanic to install the H8 bulbs and front spotlights, presumed to be H8, while new tires were being installed. I was told that the headlights are H7 HID and the spotlights are H11. Nothing seemed to align with expectations, leaving me perplexed. I am hesitant to make more purchases of erroneous bulbs. Could someone kindly provide guidance on which bulbs to acquire? I apologise for my verbosity.
  5. Thank you, everyone. I have a strong preference for Autoglym goods and am considering purchasing a kit. I also feel that water poses a significant threat to these fabric shirts. I own a vehicle cover that is almost waterproof but gets moist during rainfall. If water poses a significant issue, I will likely seek an additional plastic sheet to protect the roof prior to applying the car cover.
  6. I have acquired my first soft top, which operates manually for opening and closing. I have seen several posters seeking assistance with their damaged soft tops, as well as many that are significantly faded. Mine is in immaculate condition for its age; it will mostly be outside but sheltered beneath a cover. What recommendations exist to maintain this in optimal condition? Is maintaining it in a folded position (open) optimal, provided it is stored in a garage? Or maintaining it in an extended (closed) position. Should I refrain from exposure to rain?
  7. If you cannot tolerate it (I have a strong aversion to anything that fails to function as intended), then a session with Star/Xentry is the appropriate course of action.
  8. The process does not directly alter the output from the ECU. Instead, it manipulates the input parameters in order to influence the resulting output. A remap not only does the task mentioned, but also accurately adjusts parameters instead of manipulating them. If Jason has the ability to successfully map an M2, I am quite certain, with a 99% certainty, that he would be able to map your 320i as well. Furthermore, it is highly unlikely that he would need to ship the ECU overseas in order to unlock it.
  9. Indeed, they manipulate the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) by altering the data obtained from the sensors. It may be described as a resistor contained inside a box. An optimal solution is to do a remap, since the electronic control unit (ECU) is currently restricted, but skilled mappers have the ability to unlock it.
  10. Surging occurs while decelerating to a halt. With the foot on the brake, the automobile abruptly accelerates forward approximately 10 feet before coming to a complete stop, requiring the driver to forcefully use the brakes. The situation was rather unsettling, and the reaction I received was exactly what I anticipated. Although it is not a problem, we are aware that it is really a problem. Please go.
  11. The issue has been resolved. The recall now establishes a maximum charge restriction of 50 percent for both AC charging and charging while driving. I am unable to comprehend the reason for the erratic behaviour of the charging process when it reached 50 percent instead of just ceasing to charge. The image shown above shows that the charging progress reached 61 percent.
  12. Yesterday, I brought my CX90 in for a recall, its first oil change, and a couple of Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). I also informed the service representative that the vehicle sometimes experiences surges while coming to a halt. They completed the simple tasks and, unsurprisingly, claimed that they did not see any problem with the sudden increase and provided me with an explanation that it was connected to the process of recharging when the battery was completely drained. He verified this by completely depleting the battery, after which he informed me that they had recharged it to 50 percent and it was prepared for me to collect. After driving 40 miles to the dealer and back home, the battery of my vehicle was completely depleted. I immediately connected it to a power source and around one hour later, I received a notification indicating that the car had been fully charged. Subsequently, the car remained in a charging state until it reached full capacity. My wife was ready to go for the store, so I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. However, I did see that the battery charge level was only at 50 percent or 13 miles State of Charge (SOC). Upon returning home, she proceeded to recharge her device. However, she had the same issue where the device reached a 50 percent charge and continued to charge again. When I check my Emporia app, I see a recurring pattern where the amperage drops to zero, then rises to 30 amps almost every minute after the battery reaches 50 percent charge. My EV6 is now charging without any problems. The issue first arose after the automobile was sent to the shop. It seemed peculiar that I received charging warnings at 7:00 this morning while the car was being serviced, and this continued for around 10 minutes. Has anybody else seen or experienced this issue? Did they deplete half of my battery?
  13. The smaller units are incapable of turning over a R8, or at least my unit was unable to do so, while being advertised as suitable for engines up to 6 litres in size.
  14. I was unaware that the IQ is regulated depending on the MAF or MAP. I had previously believed that IQ control was independent of the air sensors, which I find peculiar. However, there are no existing maps that establish a direct correlation between IQ and MAP or MAF, is there? Do I need to physically alter the signal from the sensors, if I have understood correctly? Is there not a cleaner method to do this task?
  15. I fail to see how manipulating the MAF (Mass Air Flow) might have influence on the fuel injection process. I comprehend the issue as follows: inside the electronic control unit (ECU), one has the ability to manipulate the intake air pressure by requesting the mass air flow (MAF) as a function of revolutions per minute (RPM) and injection quantity (IQ). This information is subsequently converted into a duty cycle map for the turbo actuator. To optimise fuel consumption, you may use the IQ (injection quantity) as a function of RPM (revolutions per minute) and throttle demand. This information is then converted into a duty cycle map for the VP44 pump and SOI (start of injection). I am perplexed by the functioning of the VP44 duty cycle map, which exhibits a rise in relation to IQ and a reduction in relation to RPM. I have also been informed that the pump operates in a closed loop configuration at about 2000 RPM or lower. However, I lack much knowledge on this matter, and it is now my primary area of worry. Ultimately, I am contemplating which technique to use in order to calibrate the new injectors. Should I first address the issue of unstable idling and thereafter make direct modifications to the drivers' desired map, acknowledging that it will result in an excessive fuel injection? Alternatively, should I adjust the pump map using the current IQ values found in other maps? You are welcome to correct me.
  16. This formula encourages over-fueling without the use of boost, leading to the creation of smoke, diesel contamination in the oil, and reduced fuel economy. Previously, there existed a restricted number of enterprises with the capacity to calibrate the electronic control unit (ECU), which is mostly embedded inside the pump.
  17. Greetings, gentlemen. I want to upgrade the injector nozzles on my 320d 136hp (non-common rail version). The potential new nozzles I am contemplating are DLLA145P593, which have the potential to provide a 70% augmentation in fuel compared to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) DLLA145P748 nozzles. Nevertheless, I am uncertain about the process of calibrating the Engine Control Unit (ECU) with this adjustment, particularly while the engine is idling. I suspect that there is an inactive map stored in the Engine Control Unit (ECU), however I am uncertain about the precise method for locating and appropriately modifying it. Moreover, I have doubts about the response of the VP44 pump to these bigger nozzles, as well as its actual maximum injection quantities (IQs). I would really value any counsel or profound understanding you may provide. Thank you!
  18. Conduct thorough research! Avoid purchasing this car! My vehicle is now undergoing repairs for the second time within a span of 19 days due to the activation of the engine warning light. This blog features accounts from automobile owners who have had complete car failures and have had to have their vehicles transported to dealerships throughout the country. These owners have been without their cars for periods ranging from 30 to 40 days, with intermittent periods of availability. Mazda of North America and Japan do not have any remedies or codes available, and the list of unresolved issues continues indefinitely. The dealer that sold me the car deceived me by withholding information about any problems beyond recalls. As the second owner, I am now initiating the legal process of filing a lawsuit against them for knowingly selling me a vehicle with significant issues, which may be classified as a lemon based on the many problems experienced by the first owner. State laws provide legal protection for "used" vehicles, including those that are certified pre-owned (CPO) and have obtained a waiver by paying the necessary fees. These laws apply to both dealers and politicians. I will provide you with regular updates! If you need particular information, please reach out to me via this blog. I am gathering all available evidence and documentation to support my lawyer's efforts in recovering the sum of $43,980 that is owed to me.
  19. Locate a vacant industrial area with a wet road surface, then accelerate rapidly from a stationary position. This action should provide you with the desired information.
  20. The PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) remains unchanged, and there are several photographs available on Google showing them installed on the Vito. Is anybody familiar with or aware of staggered alloys that can be installed on a Vito?
  21. The component number in issue is a2134012000. It is possible that my knowledge is inaccurate, but I believed that these wheels had a weight capacity of 750kg.
  22. Greetings, I am seeking guidance about the selection of wheels for my just obtained Vito. The item in question is a 2017 model with a serial number of 447. I have discovered a set of wheels that I find aesthetically appealing, which originally belong to a vehicle of the E class. The load rating is sufficient, however I am facing difficulties mostly with the offset and fitting. The wheels have a size of 19x8 with an offset of et43 for the front, and a size of 19x9 with an offset of et49 for the rear. Is it permissible to install a staggered wheel configuration like this on the Vito, and would these offsets and widths be appropriate? I would much appreciate any assistance. Thank you.
  23. Did the performance upgrade in generation 2.5 also result in a decrease in cabin insulation? I am aware that HP (horsepower) is more and the braking system is different. However, what additional distinctions exist?
  24. I often come across complaints on online forums from individuals who really dislike it when others attempt to engage in a competitive race with them when crossing paths on public roads. The self-righteous grandfathers on Rennlist are very vocal about this issue, but it is less prevalent on our site. Now, to clarify, I have declined similar attempts from young individuals driving BRZ sports cars and extensively modified Honda Civics. However, the distinction, at least from my perspective, lies in the fact that such individuals do not bother or irritate me. I do not have a condescending attitude towards them. Last year, I saw a highly modified M3 that swiftly passed me on the highway, attempting to provoke me into a race. However, I chose not to engage in such activity, finding it amusing instead. I really appreciate that kind of care. I like encountering other aficionados who possess a genuine want to vigorously operate their automobiles. While I often refrain from engaging in street racing, with a few rare instances as exceptions, I may sometimes increase my vehicle's throttle and produce audible crackling sounds to indicate my willingness to participate and demonstrate my shared passion for racing. I find individuals who drive supercars and without any discernible personality to be rather bothersome. They operate the vehicle at a reduced speed, similar to how one would drive a Toyota Corolla. It is analogous to engaging in sexual intercourse with a supermodel who remains still and unresponsive, like a doll. Does anybody else have the same sentiment?
  25. Thank you, everyone. Tomorrow, I will contact them to inquire about the method of engine oil removal, namely whether it will be sucked out or drained. I will then proceed accordingly. I had not previously considered the oil for the torque converter. I will inquire about it once again tomorrow. Additionally, I will request the provision of the current software codes for both the Gearbox and Sat Nav systems, and thereafter request the acquisition of the updated codes upon completion of all necessary tasks. The frequency of transmission events is not consistent and is quite seldom. However, the mere awareness of its potential occurrence motivates me to actively pursue a solution. If future occurrences can be minimised, it would be very desirable. Additionally, expediting gear-changes would be highly advantageous. Therefore, I want to inquire about this matter tomorrow. I neglected to inquire about price matching with other dealers; instead, I used the internet service tool and found that another dealer offers a price about £200 lower. I will now await their response. Regrettably, I am not subscribed to a service plan, so the whole payment will be made upon collection. I have been contemplating the Warranty, and despite my initial intention to sell the car next Summer in order to use the funds to pay off a portion of the mortgage, I find myself preferring to keep it. None of the previous cars I have owned, borrowed, or driven have caused me as much distress as this one. I have one week to decide whether I will extend the warranty, as it will be officially three years old on October 16th.
