Inquiry Regarding Fuel Usage in Mazda Diesel Engines

As observed in an article published in the Mail on Sunday on October 4th. Volkswagen is not the only entity implicated in this matter. The report was authored by Dr. James Tate, a researcher affiliated with the Institute of Transport Studies at Leeds University. The Mercedes-Benz vehicle was found to be exceeding the speed limit by a factor of 5.3. The BMW was seen traveling at a speed that exceeded the legal limit by a factor of 5.6. The Mazda 6 exceeded the speed limit by 1.0 times. The Ford vehicle exceeded the limit by a factor of 6.8. The individual proceeds to assert that little diesel automobiles in urban areas produce more pollutants than double-decker buses or fully loaded 40-ton articulated trucks, hence presenting a significant economic opportunity for car manufacturers. This enables them to market tax-friendly, high-performance luxury vehicles that purportedly exhibit low pollution levels, hence facilitating increased profitability. On average, Mazda engines had the highest emission levels, with an average of 0.49 grams per kilometer. If we accept this premise, it is anticipated that Mazda will provide news in the near future. -

I have not made any assertions on Mazda's potential involvement in cheating practices. My intention was just to provide a publicly available news piece for reference. Although my personal satisfaction with Mazda UK and its dealer network is now at its lowest point, I am optimistic that Mazda has shown integrity in this particular case and will attentively monitor the developments. -

It is widely acknowledged that Volkswagen has been responsible for significant and reprehensible issues, and several experts in the automotive industry have suggested that other manufacturers may also be implicated in similar practices. I have just obtained a Mazda Venture Sport 1.6 diesel vehicle, marking my second acquisition of this particular model. I have a genuine belief that Mazda will refrain from engaging in the aforementioned reprehensible conduct. I anticipate that they will promptly declare their decision to abstain from using this approach in their diesel vehicle lineup.

Is there a straightforward solution for this issue?

A similar incident occurred with the strip responsible for securing the button used to access the central console armrest in my vehicle. I opted to replace it with a carbon fiber strip sourced from China, which not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also offers improved durability. The fragments of chromium exhibit a high degree of sharpness upon detachment from the plastic material, rendering it inadvisable to maintain its original state while it undergoes degradation. -
I currently possess a MY10 A4 B8 CVT vehicle, which I have owned for approximately six weeks. I have observed a similar behavior in my vehicle, which, according to my research, appears to be a common occurrence. I have managed to adapt to this behavior quite effectively. The CVT transmission in my vehicle introduces a slight delay before engaging the gear, as it is not a conventional automatic transmission. Notably, when shifting into reverse, my vehicle tends to roll more, particularly when on a downward slope, before the gear engages. However, I have discovered that by gradually releasing the brake, the rolling motion is significantly reduced. In instances where the vehicle is stationary on an incline and there is a tendency for it to roll backward, I have found that engaging the hand brake is a viable solution. This is due to the vehicle's intelligent system, which automatically disengages the hand brake upon sensing acceleration, thereby preventing any backward rolling. This contribution is anticipated to provide assistance in addressing the issue at hand. The use of s-mode seems to provide some degree of assistance, hence it may be advisable to consider using this approach. Wishing you the best of luck. Thank you.

Shaking in the CX-9's Transmission

The Magnuson-Moss Act forbids the use of substandard materials and components. Dexron-ULV transmission fluid is required in certain General Motors vehicles, although you may use any licensed Dexron-ULV fluid instead of the ACDelco brand. The issue is that we lack information on product specifications for things like Mazda FZ fluid. A legal source of FZ would be fantastic. If not, you're just taking a wild guess. We don't require engine oil labeled by the automobile company; we only need an engine oil that satisfies the engine maker's specification, since engine oil is manufactured to worldwide standard standards. OE oil filters don't have published standards, so it's best to go with the one that comes with your vehicle. The manufacturer will not honor the guarantee if a generic filter fails and causes engine damage. To be clear, I'm not suggesting that you shouldn't use a high-quality filter like a WIX/NAPA or a Baldwin or any other top filter; I'm only stating that doing so may prevent a dispute or legal action within the warranty term. Disconnecting a cooler line, starting the engine, pumping out 3 quarts of ATF into a bucket, stopping the engine, adding 3 fresh quarts to the filler, pumping out 3 more, etc., etc., until you've used up around 14 quarts and corrected the level: that's how I've done transmission flushes at home. Positive outcomes have been seen. My prior vehicle had a Magnefine in-line transmission filter and my current truck has a Racor in a cooler line for the transmission fluid. Both of those cars' gearboxes lasted me well over 200,000 miles. The truck's rack and pinion steering functioned as if it had never been used thanks to a 1/2" Magnefine filter installed on the hydraulic power steering return line. In my past, I've worked extensively with hydraulic equipment. Hydraulic power steering and automatic gearboxes share a need for clean, warm fluid. -

My guess is that Iffy Lube utilized a Dexron ATF with a Lubegard-type ATF supplement and exchanged it using their ATF exchange equipment, which would drastically reduce their inventory space and training needs. Possibly OK, but it's my least preferred option. The Mazda FZ fluid is recommended for use in the ATF. Multi-vehicle fluids like Valvoline Maxlife are a good second option. For me, I like the FZ. If operated properly and with the proper fluid, the exchange machine delivers satisfactory results. Did you know Mazda USA offers an online parts shop where you can replace that broken transmission strainer? Strainer, oil, model #FZ01-21-500, may be purchased in any quantity for $49.94 apiece. (I'll offer up one) Strainer for the transmission To get into the nitty-gritty, a strainer is a single layer of perforated (often metal). A filter's intricate design allows for far narrower openings. It's important to keep in mind that the service writer we encounter at the dealership is a commission salesperson of services and not usually a highly qualified professional. The fact that they make an impressive pretense of auto expertise is sometimes their most notable quality. -
Can I clean the sensor without removing it? After having my technician replace the EGR valve and oxygen sensor to solve my malfunctioning check engine light, a new code (P1141) appeared in place of the old OE code. The technician also informed me that the air intake pipe on my vehicle was cracked. help needed, if possible. This automobile cost me exactly $500 right now. Plus, I have to have my car's emissions checked.

How has the MX-30 been received in Australia? Mazda's sales pitch in the US hasn't exactly won over customers, and that may be why the vehicle hasn't been well received there.
-
Since Mazda's new vehicle hasn't been given its own subforum here yet, I figured I'd make one. The Mazda MX-30 will initially only be available in California and solely as an electric vehicle (a plug-in hybrid with a rotary range extender is said to be coming later). The MX-30 is offered in electric and mild hybrid forms powered by Mazda's in-house 2.0-liter Skyactiv engine in its native nation of Japan. Some highlights are as follows: Creditable by the federal government Plug-in hybrid version with 100-mile range and starting MSRP of $33,470 (for the EV) and rear clamshell doors (like the RX-8) rumored to arrive in the U.S. later The MX-30 is the better-looking of the two, but I wish the mild hybrid variant had been available at launch in the United States. How do you feel about the MX-30?

Is the automobile still running well or do you need to make adjustments somewhere now?

I wouldn't take it to the dealer since they'll just send it out and overcharge you. Find a reliable auto body shop by asking around. -

Alternating front and rear new/flat tires
migueldosantos77 replied to ENVIOclev's topic in General Car Chat
My different cars have never had tyres slide or step out of line in typical weather, wet or dry. I've felt the lightness on black ice and snow as the automobile loses grip. Driving wheels constantly get fresh tires. Poor grip causes many accidents, and I believe many drivers wait for the MOT before buying tyres. Runflats are great, but rim and tyre costs have kept them from taking off. I disagree with ditch finding cheaper tyre comment. They're fine for most purchasers but not for performance cars. -
Hi pixel. I concur with Seeker that replacing the tyres will reduce the commotion. I switched to Goodyears and the tyre noise has been drastically reduced. I strongly endorse this one.

Concerning the quest. Use the search box on the Home page instead of the box on a specific topic. It sometimes works better. Please don't ask me why. -
Welcome to the site, typer2000, and it looks like someone else has seen the light.
